Katsura Grill in Epcot's Japan pavilion seems to always be our "go to" quick service when we need to get something to eat before we get "hangry". We never really "plan" to eat here, we just some how end up here by default. Let's check it out.
Katsura Grill is sort of "hidden". It's tucked up behind a walkway in the Japan pavilion.
If you didn't know this restaurant was here, it could easily be missed. (It's behind the large pagoda).
There is a menu sign down below so you can check out the offerings before you make the trek up the path. As with any quick service restaurant, the menu is not that extensive but you do have a variety of sushi and noodle dishes to choose from.
This place must be a lot of other peoples "go to" quick service as well because it is always crowded when we go here. The service this day took longer than usual and the guest in front of me was having an issue with her order. There is inside seating here, but it is tight and usually filled up. But that's okay!
There is plenty of shaded seating right outside the restaurant.
I would much rather sit among the serene garden here and listen to the water babble. The lanterns give this area a nice touch.
Now on to the food.
I got the shrimp teriyaki served with white rice and broccoli. This was actually a kid's meal, but it was plenty for me and it even came with a cookie that I could save for later. As I was preparing this blog post I did see that the shrimp is no longer on the menu, it is only chicken (or beef on the adult menu). This meal was only $8.50
Lacey got sushi (the California roll) for $12.
Both meals were good and pretty much what you would expect from a quick service restaurant. The food here always "hits the spot" and fills us up with some "real food" as we snack around World Showcase.
