The Summer Six

Visiting a camel farm was something new I did this summer!

As many people carried on with their summer vacations, I just couldn't.  I couldn't ignore the fact that we were  in a pandemic or the fact that there was a possibility of violence occurring at a moments notice in any given city ( or small town). Because of this, I chose to be cautious and stay close to home this summer. Which let's face it, if there was ever a time for me to stay close to home, it was this summer. The new puppies really absorbed most of my attention anyway and the fact that I didn't get to go on a vacation, really didn't seem that important.

Banana Cream Pie

This is my last of the summer pie recipes, Banana Cream Pie.

I've been buying a lot of bananas this summer because they make a great treat for the puppies. I usually cut them up, freeze them, and then put them in the food processor to make banana ice cream.  I add some peanut butter to that and Sybie and Willow go crazy!

Murder on the Trail

Over the Labor day weekend, my sister and I did what we've been doing all summer, we went for a hike. Again, we found another new to us trail. If anything,  COVID made us more adventurous.

Coffee Date- Back to School Edition

I am very much looking forward to the long weekend! In the past, this has been the weekend my mom and I would be at the beach. However, my husband thought it wasn't such a wise decision to go during a holiday weekend (like we've always done over Labor Day), not just because of COVID, but also because of all the protesting and violence ( whether intentional or not) that is ensuing!  I have to say, that as much as it saddens me, I do agree with him.  So I guess I will stick around and have a coffee with the ladies!
