Weekly Wrap...October 1

Wow! Can you believe it's October?

Every week I think I will for sure remember what I did, where and when I ran but the truth is, by the end of the week, I forget. I've tried writing things down, but I've got lazy doing that. I've even gotten lazy at recording my runs on IG.  I do think that I will just look up the stats on my Garmin, but I don't bother doing that either. It's been a long time since I've even transferred my running stats from my watch to my journal and that use to be something I looked forward to doing on the weekends!

In any case, here was the week how I see it!

Sunday- Instead of trying out the bike cart one more time with Baylee like we had originally planned, we decided to do a family walk at the park. I think Baylee liked this a lot better.

Monday I was so tired when I woke up that I knew I wanted to take a nap as soon as I got home from work.  It was so beautiful outside and I did not want to waste it by being indoors sleeping so I took my nap outside by the pool.  I laid on the lounge and had this view for most of the time.  As you can see, she had taken a dip in the pool and then was in my face for most of the time hoping I would play with her. I don't know how product my nap was because I kept having to throw toys in the pool for her to retrieve.

Since I didn't swim with Baylee yesterday, I planned to take a swim with her when I got home on Tuesday.  Turns out that when I got home, my mom had already had Baylee and Belle swimming in the pool and they were sitting on the patio drying off.  We rested for a while and then later that evening I went for a run with my mom. This is where we saw what secret stuff was going on under that underpass.

Wednesday I finally got to swim with Baylee. I pretty much called this a rest day but it was so warm even after we got out of the pool that I took Baylee for an evening stroll down at the park.  From dog walkers, walkers, runners, and soccer players, there were so many people down at the park that it was even difficult to walk there.  I forgot my Garmin but I know the loop and know that we did over a mile.

On Thursday I did 3 miles with my mom through town. It was still shorts and tank top weather but there was a bit of a breeze for the first half of our run and that felt good.

Friday was another rest day. I came home from work and chatted with a friend and then took Baylee to the vet for her Senior Wellness check up. Things are going much better for her than they were a year ago and we are extremely grateful!

I know it was a bit of a boring week, but it was another week of great weather and I feel like we really took advantage of it, so that's a wrap! -M

    1. Yes! But I always say I don't mind because I'd rather give her attention than not have her around to give the attention too!

    1. Unfortunately I can't run with Baylee anymore and I feel bad walking her more than a mile or 2 because of her condition. But I do like spending time with her on a walk cus I know it makes her happy!

  9. Baylee needs to school Cocoa in proper dog behavior. We've had some issues this week... I'm thinking about training her to run with me. Stay tuned.

  16. Bailey looks so happy! I didn't remember the strength training I did this week, but I know I did something. It was a haphazard week, so I don't remember specifics outside of running. At least my Garmin tracks that.
