Fall Favorites

I'm joining my friend Rebecca Jo and the ladies at The Blended Blog with this fun fall favorites survey.

Feel free to play along.

1) Favorite Fall Sweet Treat?
Whoopie Pies and the occasional candy apple

2) Red, Yellow or Green Apple?
I haven't had them in so long but I remember liking the yellow apples. That reminds me that perhaps I should go buy some!

3) Favorite Fall Sport to Play?
Seeing that I don't play any sports I'll have to say running.

4) Best Drink for Fall?
Vanilla Chai tea (or pumpkin Chia). Come winter time my Church cafe has a Gingerbread Chai that is amazing!

5) Favorite Fall Activity?
Running on the trail when it's still warm enough for shorts yet the leaves have changed colors and you can smell that crispness in the air.

6) Must have Fall Purchase?
All the limited edition pumpkin flavored goodies!

7) Pumpkins: Pick your own or store bought?
Store bought

8) Real or Fake Pumpkin?
Both
I had fake ones for the past several years but this year I painted them different colors so we ended up buying real ones at a local farm market.

9) Favorite Halloween Costume?
I don't really do Halloween real big but one year Scott and I dressed up as a pilot and a Flight attendant for a Halloween party.  My costume was easy because I borrowed the flight attendant uniform from my sister. Scott wore a pilot's cap, glasses, and a blue sports coat with a pair of wings pinned on.  It was cute. I should go look for that one picture we had from that night.

10) College Football or NFL?
Usually NFL. I admit I don't care that much about the game but I do enjoy spending time with my family when we get together for games!

11) Fall or Halloween Decor?
Fall
I decorate with pumpkins and leaves and I will keep these things up until Black Friday (When I decorate for Christmas). I don't have any Scary Halloween decorations.

12) Raking Leaves or no Leaves to Rake?
We don't have to rake any leaves. We have pine needles that fall in our swimming pool and that's about it.

13) Favorite soup?
Not my favorite soup ever but my favorite soup for fall is a pumpkin squash from a cafe near my home. I also like Panera's Harvest Squash soup.

14) Favorite Fall Candle Scent?
For fall I like all the warm food scents: Hazelnut, apple cider, pumpkin, etc. Until right now I did not know there was a Whoopie Pie candle. I may have to go look for that!

15) Love or Hate Pumpkin Spice?
Love it

16) Short Booties or Tall Boots?
Tall,
although this season is the first I have short boots to wear.

17) Favorite Halloween Candy?
I can think of my favorite Christmas candy but not Halloween Candy. I guess I like it all!

18) PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte): Yes or No?
Pumpkin Spice Frappe is more my thing

19) Hayride or Corn Maze?
I did my first corn maze this year and it was a blast! I would choose that over a hayride.

20) Favorite Fall TV Show?
This season I couldn't wait for "The Middle" to come back on. I am SO sad that this is the last season.

What are your fall favorite?   -M

  1. Fun! I decorate for Halloween but save some of my pumpkins, etc through fall until Thanksgiving. Our colors have begun to change here but I don't think they're going to be as vibrant as usual. It's been so dry.

  3. What a fun list! I'm not much into Halloween either. I have some general fall decor that goes out first... then just add a couple of Halloween specific things mid-Oct. Now I blow it out for Thanksgiving though! I have a lot of cute turkey stuff.

  4. I miss the days when I used to dress the boys for Halloween! Mostly we did homemade costumes--the year they were Frankenstein and a Mummy was probably my favorite.

  7. I'm simple when it comes to fall and winter drinks. Apple cider, then hot chocolate. I've made hot chocolate already since I have the mix, for peppermint hot chocolate.

    1. I rarely buy apples. I use to buy them by the bag full when I made my own food for Baylee.

  10. I love Yankee Candles. :) I like pumpkin baked goods but that is it. I'm not a fan of pumpkin in coffee or cereal with pumpkin flavor. I saw Life cereal and Cheerios with pumpkin flavor. Not into that! But I'm glad they have so many options for those that like it.

    1. Baylee LOVES pumpkin cheerios. At one point I had to crush them up and put them over her pills so she could eat them. I've had the other pumpkin cereal too like the Life and Frosted mini wheats and they are good.

  11. Yum you just reminded me I love candy apples and I haven't had one in years, that much change! Fall in the desert is different, I mean it's 90 degrees out right now so it doesn't much feel like fall. But I am looking forward to December and January and I'm hoping by then it will cool off enough to enjoy wearing all my sweaters and boots, because I have way too many of them LOL
