Stuff my Dad says during The Bachelorette

We are vacationing at the Lake this week. My parent's came down to visit for a few days so that meant they were with us on Monday night as we watched the season finale of The Bachelorette.

My parents do not watch any of  The Bachelor/Bachelorette shows (they are into Survivor and Big Brother), so it was quite interesting having my dad there watching it with us. My dad is a funny man and although all his statements/questions from the show were serious, my sister and I couldn't help but laugh.

I'll narrow the list to only 5 (since it is a Friday 5)

1. "Wow, this is really sad. He just poured his heart out to her and she dumped him."

2. "Is that Aaron Rodger's brother? I heard about him. He and his brother don't get along."

3. "She looks like she would be high maintenance."

4. "Where do you think he got that big ring?"

5. "How many guys did she start out with...8?"

Bonus: "Is he suppose to get down on one knee and propose?"

I think we may have set my dad straight as to how this whole Bachelor / Bachelorette thing works. I think he's prepared for next season.   Do we know who the next Bachelor is?

  3. Love #3. I'm sure I'd be asking all sorts of questions too though as I've never actually watched the show.

  4. I've never really watched the bachelorette (maybe just a little when it first came out) but I do think I understand the concept. I'm sure I would ask some of these questions too. Your dad's questions are funny but good for him for sitting through it!

  7. I only watched one season, to see what my friends were talking about, and it was a train wreck. Definitely a show to watch with wine.

  8. I love the bachelor shows but thought the finale was really boring...You should show your dad bachelor in paradise - he'd have LOTS of questions on that one!

  9. My dad is funny too. He has no filter and it's fun to watch trashy television with him. But he also likes to watch tractor shows and stuff like that...ugh..the Red Green show...

    1. I can definitely see where that would be uncomfortable. I hope they were at least the episodes they show on Cable!

I guess I'm the only person in the world who didn't know who Aaron Rodgers was. Its true. I know nothing about football. I did love Jordan though. He is PRECIOUS. Such a good personality!!!
I wish I would have taken notes on what Ricky said - because Ricky did watch at the beginning because he LOVED Chad. haha... he made Ricky laugh so hard.

  13. #5 is funny. What did he say when you told him the correct number?

  14. Oh too funny!
I can't imagine what my dad would say, it would probably be something like. You ever go on a show and act like that I'll ground you even as an adult.. But it was even more fun to watch it with him though.
My sisters and I watch it, we have fun making fun of everything that happens, more drama the better, LOL But on the same note, I am an even bigger Survivor fan so props to your dad there!
Have fun up at the lake and enjoy the vacation!!!
