Mine is, and it even has the race magnets to prove it..... Okay, that was a lame joke I know.
This post was inspired by my friend Megan who is a running blogger but often writes about the most random stuff yet it is both funny and intriguing.
Earlier this year she wrote a blog post about what was on her fridge at home. She encouraged us to share what was on ours too. I feel like you can learn a lot about people from what they put on their fridge (and on their car for that matter but that's another post). AND since some of what is on my fridge is running related, I guess I'm not too far off topic.
So here goes....... Some of these things are actually on the side of the fridge, I try not to clutter up the front too much.
12 Race magnets : Some of these will go back on my desk in the fall
8 Disney Magnets: Some of this are photo frames. ( One of them is currently holding a very old church picture of my family, and the other is a picture of Scott and I and the Jingle Jungle 5K race at Disney)
7 Labrador magnets
5 dog pictures (which come as no surprise, right)
3 Invitations : 2 graduation parties that have passed, (I guess I could take them down) and an invitation to an Eagle Scout ceremony.
2 Note pads: I always mean to write a grocery list on these pads, but that rarely happens.
1 Obituary: I know that sound morbid but I have my grandmother's obituary laminated and hung on the side of my Fridge and it has been there for 8 years. I see it every time I walk out the back door.
Random things: a dentist appt card (which I'm sure this appointment will pass by the time this post is published so I wonder how long it will stay on the fridge??? Can you guess that it's not MY appointment card...lol). The phone number for the Emergency Animal Hospital (Which should probably be in my phone and not my fridge). The phone # for the gal who teaches Ariel Yoga (Yea, been meaning to set up an appointment for that too). A meat temperature guide. This comes in handy. And then just 6 random magnets.
So what have you learned about me? Do you have race magnets, training plans, or race bibs are on your fridge? What do you give as a gift at an Eagle Scout celebration? -M

I don't have much on my fridge, and the only time I have anything of value is Christmas cards, which then stay up for months.
ReplyDeleteI have an actual holder for Christmas cards and that usually stays out a bit longer than it should..lol!
DeleteI got a new fridge a few years ago and never put all my old magnets back. So it started out pretty clean. But like you there is some old stuff and fun stuff. I have my Dopey magnet. And runDisney ads for the races I've done that I've pulled out of Runners World. And some other random stuff. Interesting post!
ReplyDeleteI once tore those Disney ads from RW as well but never did anything with them.
DeleteJa ja ja!! that is funny! Let's see, what did we learn from your fridge? You love Disney, you love your dog and you love your grandmother.
ReplyDeleteAn eagle scout celebration? mmm... let me think... a small first aid kit? or a multipurpose knife thing? or a giftcard to REI?
On the side of my fridge I have a collection of family pictures. and the front is 85% pictures of my son.
Thanks for the gift suggestions Ana!
DeleteFun post :) I've got important phone numbers on mine as well, as well as a lot of baby photos of friends' kids. No race magnets yet, may need to fix that.
ReplyDeleteYes, you definitely need at least one race magnet!
DeleteYou know I'm loving all your Disney magnets :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun post - I need to take some pics of mine & join in
Yes, please join in!
DeleteThe side of my fridge has magnents in the shape of the states where I've run in (they say run on them). Not much else, and the front of the fridge is stainless, so nothing sticks to it. My old fridge? Covered with magnets from all the places we visited when our kids were younger. Good memories, but I don't want to clutter up the side of the new fridge so much now.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to have magnets from each state/place I visited but like you said, it could get very cluttered!
Delete(This is Kristy @Runawaybridalplanner) can't login at work but wanted to try commenting:)
ReplyDeleteLove that your fridge is like a little bit of your life!
I like magnets, growing up my mom collected a magnet from everywhere we visited, eventually the fridge was completely covered. She bought a new fridge a while back and I just now realized those magnets aren't up anymore. I'm going to have to talk to her about that, LOL
Reminders and things are what are clipped to mine. As well as some colorful ABC magnets that I let my nieces and nephews play with when they come, LOL
My grandparent's fridge was like your mom's. Completely covered with all the grandkid pics!
DeleteOh my gosh--I love this! It's so fun to see what people have on their fridge. Your title reminds me of that old phone prank we did as kids, and as silly college freshman. It was hilariously stupid!
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember that joke!
DeleteHaha thanks for doing this! Your fridge looks exactly how I would have guessed- race magnets and labrador stuff!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
DeleteThis is great! We have a Hawaii calendar and a bunch of business stickers (not stuck on there, hung with magnets) and postcards. We also have invitations and a notepad. Maybe I'll steal this post idea for a Friday Five one day... ;)
ReplyDeleteOh please steal away!
DeleteLove your Disney magnets! We've got a bunch of random magnets from places we've been and chip clip magnets just because they are easy to find on the fridge. We also have pics of family members and even me and Hubby's save the date for when we were getting married. :p
ReplyDeleteI've actually had to scale back the magnets over the years. I never realized how many random ones we collect.
DeleteI love all of your runDisney magnets! My fridge isn't magnetic on the front so there is nothing on it!
ReplyDeleteMy parent's fridge is like that too.
DeleteThat is a lot of Disney there my friend!
ReplyDeleteI use to purchase a magnet during each visit but that has slowed down significantly!
DeleteMy fridge is pretty boring. We have a few magnets and some pictures. Also a bottle opener that is magnetic so sticks to the side of the fridge.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think a boring fridge must be a clean fridge!
DeleteFortunately, our stainless steel fridge is NOT magnetic on the front (????) or else it would be covered. There is a little bit of real estate on one of the sides above the counter, though (the other side is against a wall). You probably don't need to bring a gift to an Eagle Scout celebration....when we had our son's ceremony, we received some "congratulations" cards, but didn't expect anything from the attendees. LOVE this post!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I would love to not be able to hang anything on the front of the fridge!!!
DeleteI love all of the Mickey race ears going down the side of the fridge. So cute!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to add the Wine n Dine one to my collection this fall!
DeleteDogs and Disney is a great combo---I have a TON of homemade arts and crafts from my kids on my fridge!
ReplyDeleteCreative! I like... Perhaps, I will follow your method. So good! ^^
ReplyDeleteLOL - I love this topic! What a creative, fun inspiration!!! I am IN LOVE with all of your Disney Mickey ear magnets. So fabulous!!! I need to start collecting some of those myself. =)
ReplyDeletePet pictures are a must! I currently have some cat photos and a Christmas card that my 3 year old niece made me on my fridge.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am exactly the same with those grocery store and to-do list notepads. I'm always attracted to them in the store and think I'll use them and then they end up going unused. One of these days I will find a way to use one - or just resist buying more :)
ReplyDeleteWe always ended up keeping invitations up on the fridge way after the event has passed! Thanks for the gift suggestions!
ReplyDeleteYup, everything I love right there on the fridge!
