The new Urth box

My sister has always been pretty creative in her Christmas gifts and most years one of the gifts to me was some sort of goodies box.  Remember that Huge home made runner box she made for me a few years back?  She filled me up with fuels and snacks to last me for months!

This past year she ordered me a three
months subscription to Urthbox.

1. What is Urthbox?

Urthbox is a monthly subscription to healthy, organic snacks.   You can order for just one month, 3 months, or 6 months.  I received a three month subscription for Christmas so I just received my last box this month.

2. What's inside?
After you choose your subscription type, you have the option to customize the contents of your box. The options are Classic, Diet, Vegan, or Gluten free. All my boxes were the classic.

3. How much do you get?
You can also customize how many products you get in your box. You can choose from 6+ snacks, 12+ snacks, 18+ snacks, or 25+ snacks.  I had the 6+ snack box and I got more than 6 items each month. The description says that you get full sized items. Each of these items I received were new to me so I can not say if they were actual full size or not. Some of them were of course the size you would get out of a vending machine and others truly may have been a retail size.

I was so eager to bust into my first month's supply that I didn't bother recording what was inside.  I did remember to document what was in the last two months so that is what I will share with you here.

4. My month 2 box.

5. my month 3 box.

In all, Urthbox is a nice little variety of snacks. I would take one to work with me and it's nice to know that I don't have to worry about whether or not it is healthy.

Have you ever subscribed to a snack box like this? -L

  1. I've done trials for boxes like this but I much prefer just buying what I like :) Lots of fun stuff in there, though!

    1. True, but some of the foods I would have never tried had it not been in the box.

  2. I haven't subscribed to a snack box like that. Sounds like a great way to try new healthy snacks! The only thing I recognize out of those pics are the Honey Stinger waffles.

    1. That was the only thing I have tried before. The rest of the snacks were all new to me.

  3. I have not tried snack boxes, but since I am pretty picky, they might not work for me. However, I am sure my husband would eat anything in the boxes. How were the kale chips? I always make my own and have not tried the store bought kind.

    1. They had a very strong ranch flavor. And they were pretty much crumbs. Idk if that's how they were suppose to be or thru the mail they got like that. I have made my own too. They are so darn expensive when you buy them.

  5. I love snack boxes, but I have no self control and try all the snacks in one day. Not a good plan LOL.

  8. The only box I've gotten was a gift box one of my best friends sent with stuff both for me, and the cat. Allie knew something was in there because she wouldn't leave the box alone and sure enough, there was a catnip toy in there.

  11. Since I prefer to buy what I want, I don't usually subscribe to boxes like this. But it looks like a great little set of goodies in each of those boxes!

  13. I love these subscription boxes... but I hadn't heard of this one before. Totally heading to check it out.
I get nervous at some of them that send natural products because I'm so weird about trying them. I always loved Nature Box because you can pick out your snacks. But it takes away from the surprise of what you're getting.

  15. I've tried subscription boxes a few times and they're a great way to discover new products! But in general I think I prefer picking out stuff I like at the store - I guess there's something to be said about old favorites :)

    1. Agreed. But it is also nice to try some different snacks you may have not ever had, or would buy yourself.

  16. I am dying to try those Gluten Free Honey Stinger waffles. How did you like it?

  17. I have not seen the salted caramel waffle and now I want one for tomorrow! Guess that won't happen (I do plan to take a HS waffle with me for a prerace snack).

No, I don't do boxes. Too tempting, and even one box would probably last me forever! But oh so tempting.

  18. I have tried these types of subscriptions in the past and I do like them, it's just some times they can be pretty pricey. I do like the idea that they get you to try new types of foods. Thanks for sharing.
