My day at Disneyland

Earlier this month I had a layover in Los Angeles, California. I've had layovers there before, but this time it was a fairly long one so I decided to visit Disneyland.  It had been over 10 years since I was at Disneyland. The last time I was here, it was to run the Tinkerbelle Half Marathon. You can read about that HERE

This was the perfect time of year to visit. Disneyland was still celebrating their 70th anniversary, plus I got to see Disneyland all decorated for Halloween!

Aren't these pumpkin carvings above the entrance just the cutest?

                                                       More fall decor at Disneyland.

Since it had been so long since I've visited Disneyland, I really just wanted to take it all in and really just enjoy being there.  I didn't really document a whole lot for a blog post so consider the rest of this post a photo dump of my day there!

Matching ears to match the castle!

For  my snack, I tried cheesy garlic bread at Maurice's treats. This snack is not offered at Disney World, so this was the first time I had it and it was delicious!

On the way to Maurice's I met Flynn Rider!

I rode the Haunted Mansion. Unlike the Haunted Mansion in Disney World that only has overlays during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, this ride is decorated throughout the season.

Decor inside Haunted Mansion. It was fun to see the differences between the ride at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure was a very similar ride to the one in Disney World. However, I would say you do get much wetter on this ride.

Finding Nemo's Submarine Voyage, is Disneyland's version of the Finding Nemo ride in Disney World. However, this felt like more 10,000 Leagues Unser the sea since you did get in a Submarine.

I thought this fountain was cool and loved how it looked at night when it was lit up.

I loved how the Mickey pumpkin looked all light up as well. This is something we don't have at Disney World.

I did ride several more rides before finding a spot to watch the night time parade.

This Beauty and the Beast float is a part of the night time Electric Parade

And then of course there was a light show at the castle.

Good -bye Disneyland! I had a great day. I hope it's not another 10 years until I return again!

Till next time ~ L
