Peloton Surprises!

So I've finally hopped on the band wagon and purchased a Peloton. I upgraded from my old chain link spin bike. It took me awhile to take the plunge, but now that I have it, I can't believe I've waited so long to get one. If you have one, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you that don't, let me explain a few cool features on it.

There are so many classes to choose from. I really like the live classes. It allows you to be part of a community and holds you accountable.  Also, seeing where you are on the leader board is pretty cool and very motivating. You can add friends and do the same class with them. You can also connect with others and give them a high five for reaching their milestones that are listed. Also, I heard there is a way to video chat with a friend while taking the same class, I have yet to do that. So if you know how, let me know.

There are so many classes they offer in addition to spinning. Such as treadmill runs, cardio, strength, pilates, yoga, and meditation. There are classes for everyone and you will never get bored with classes added each day. You can even search classes by genre of music, duration, and even instructors.

I really enjoy the app, so I can take it with me on my layovers. I can do a quick 20 minute HIIT workout in my hotel room. Even now some hotel gyms are not open, so this has been very convenient.

Yes, the Peloton is quite and investment, and I know many that just use the app, but the Peloton bike is amazing! It is so quiet, you can't even hear yourself pedaling. I got the package that came with the shoes, weights, and headphones. The headphones would definitely come in handy if you have little ones at home and want to take a hip hop class or something in that genre. There are some explicit music they use which I was surprised about. Let's just say they do not use the radio edit version of songs.

When I first got the bike, I had a heck of a time getting my shoes clipped into the pedals. Anyone else? I think that was my biggest battle. I fought with them so much that now I just keep them clipped into the pedal. It's not like you will need to use them elsewhere, so why not? Saves me plenty of time before classes.

I've had the Peloton for a few weeks now and overall I am loving it. With Covid times still being a challenge, it is nice to do classes in the privacy of your own home without wearing a mask!

Anything else that's a cool feature I'm unaware of, please share?

Let's connect if you have one. Let me know your username. Mine is Lacers02

  1. Yay for another Pelo-fan! I don’t have the bike (it didn't fit my short torso) but I love all the classes. I keep my shoes clipped in on my bike too. ;-)

  3. This is the hot ticket item, isnt it?
I'm so mad... I literally just sold my spinner bike on Facebook at the beginning of the pandemic... I'm the queen of bad timing

  5. I have the app and love it! For me the biggest advantage is I can start a class whenever my schedule allows, instead of trying to fit my schedule for a class. I've been building a home gym for a while, mostly because I wouldn't have to wait for a machine, or I can stay on my treadmill for as long as I need when I'm in training.
