A few weeks ago I did a blog post showing the Run Disney outfits I was working on for The Princess Half Marathon race weekend. I had my 5K race outfit completed, but was still undecided as to what I was going to do for the 10K or the half. Well, now we all have our outfits planned out and my mom and I have ours completed. I don't have pictures of Lacey's outfits because I have some finishing touches to put on once we get to Disney. Take a look.
My Cinderella running outfit for the 5k. Lacey will also be running in a Cinderella outfit.
My mom's Tinkerbell running outfit for the 5K.
My Sleeping Beauty outfit for the 10K. Lacey will have this same outfit but in yellow! Any ideas who she might be?
And then for the half, we didn't want to get too fancy. We wanted to make sure we were wearing our "real" running gear but yet wanted to add a bit of a Disney twist. So this is what we came up with.
This is my outfit for the half. Lacey will also be wearing a pink running skirt and black compression sleeves but she will have a white running tank with a Minnie mouse on it.
And in true Disney fashion, my mom will also be wearing a Minnie Mouse on her outfit as well!
I had so much fun coming up with outfit ideas for this race that I've already started coming up with ideas for my next Disney race!
Are you done making your race outfit for PHM?
What was your favorite outfit that you've ever raced in?
Love these! I can't imagine how much time it takes to put together costumes for each race. I have a hard enough time pulling together my race gear for two races :) Hope I will see you ladies there!
ReplyDeleteYes, I hope so too Alicia! You'll have to post a picture of your outfits so we know what to look for!
DeleteYour costumes are adorable, Meranda. I've also worn one costume for a race so far. I loved dressing up as Minnie Mouse for the Disney World 10k last month!
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember your outfit was cute!
DeleteI have never made an outfit! But I love yours!! I am in love with Cinderella so I would so copy your outfit for the 5k!! I think this has inspired me to try out an outfit now!
ReplyDeleteI actually made that blue sparkle skirt for the Cinderella outfit! Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty simple!
DeleteAdorable costumes!! So far, my favorite costume I've raced in is my Buzz Lightyear one from the TOT 10-Miler last year!
ReplyDeleteYes, that was cute! I'm already thinking about my outfit for TOT!
DeleteThese are too cute! I have a feeling your sister will be Belle since she is wearing yellow :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my besties is obsessed with Minnie Mouse. I should show her these running tanks maybe she'll run a race with me ;-)
You would be correct! Lacey will be Belle! I actually made those Minnie patches and sewed them on the shirts!
DeleteSince I'm not running, looking at these costumes is so much fun! Costume spotting pre-race is half the Disney experience.
ReplyDeleteYes, i've definitely seen some great costumes over the years!
DeleteI need to start that this weekend. . I have all the pieces I just need to put them together!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with Abby!
DeleteLove your costumes! I've never done a Disney race, so the closest to a costume I've worn for a race was Christmas themed :)
ReplyDeleteAny themed race is a good excuse to wear a costume! I love seeing the costumes people come up with for Christmas races!
DeleteAdorable outfits Meranda. I will definitely be on the lookout for you, Lacey and your mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam! Can't wait to see what you have made. Will you be showing them before you leave?
DeleteVery cute! I never raced in a costume but I have done costume themed runs with friends. I ran in an old bridemaids dress and also as a biggest loser contestant.. An XXXL Biggest Loser shirt with 2 couch cushions shoved underneath. Not quite PC but oh well...
ReplyDeleteO You must post pictures of those!
DeleteNice job! They look super cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonya!
DeleteIt looks like you have had a lot of fun putting those outfits together! I haven't ever raced in costume, but I wouldn't rule it out.
ReplyDeleteYes it was super fun! I wish I had more to make!
DeleteGreat costumes - I love how you used the lace for Sleeping Beauty's collar :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know that each one doesn't exactly look like the costume each character would wear, but I figured it was close enough representation. I love adding the Disney touches!
DeleteThese look AWESOME! AND You are so far ahead of me! I've not finished putting together our costumes and I only have one week! Augh!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with. You both have been super cute in the past races!
DeleteI want a costume for every day of the month :)
ReplyDeleteLove them all...so cute. LOVE the minnies!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie. I actually created those Minnie Heads and sewed them on.
DeleteI love these, wow they look great! You ladies are going to have a great time in the race!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I didn't exactly do a trial run so I hope they hold up through all the running!
DeleteHaha, amazing costumes!
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh you ladies are going to be TOO cute!! Can't wait to see them in person :D
ReplyDeleteDid you post what you were wearing yet Rachel? We do hope to spot you!
DeleteI love all of them!! So creative! I need to start thinking about what I want to wear for the DDD and Wine & Dine. My favorite costume so far was last year's Wine & Dine. I went with a 101 Dalmatians theme which was my favorite movie growing up! Have fun at the PHM!
ReplyDeleteLove! I really *have* to finish my tutu for the half!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love the costumes! :)
ReplyDeleteThose costumes are so pretty and adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteAh! These are very stylish AND very runnable! The sleeping beauty one is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteI stumbled over here from Kristy's blog PGHrunner, and smiled when I saw you are #altramaniacs too!
Adorable! Love them all...hope to see you sometime next weekend! ((Did I just say that...NEXT weekend?!))
