Rapunzel's Royal Table on the Disney Magic

Fairytales and Fitness Disney Blog

On the second night of our cruise on the Disney Magic, our dinner was in the Rapunzel's Royal Table dinning room. Let's check it out!

As we entered the dining room, we were greeted by Vladimir, (from the movie Tangled), the tough guy from the Snuggly Duckling Cafe that dreams of being a mime. He assured us that we would have a fabulous time!

Shorty, another Thug from the Snuggly Duckling was there greeting guests, although he did not say much.
Even upon entering the dining room, we were impressed with the details in the theming.

They even had the cart with the birthday cake on it.

It reminded me of being at Cinderella's Royal Table restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but on a much larger scale.
We wanted to stick with the theme and wear shades of purple and pink and thought our Lilly dresses were appropriate.

Disney Tip: If you get to dinner before your table mates, choose a seat near the isle. There will be some entertainment that comes through and you'll want to be able to see them clearly.

Here was our dinner menu.

The table started off with a basket of rolls and pretzel bread.  For starters, Lacey got the Snuggly Duckling platter. This reminded me of the charcuterie board she got at the Arendelle dinning room on the Disney Wish
Ravioli

As an appetizer she got the  beef and mushroom ravioli.

As my appetizer I got the asparagus and broccoli soup, which tasted just like broccoli soup. I thought it was only okay.

Our choices for entrees.

We both ordered the Tangled Pasta with pesto and scallops. This was very good. However, I asked for light pesto on mine, so it ended up being a little drier than I liked.  It was a good sized portion and I don't think I was able to finish it all.
Side Note:  I ordered this same dish on the Disney Wish in the Marvel dining room and it was called "Mystic Pasta".

There is actually a stage show here. Rapunzel and friends do a little song and dance on stage and it is cute.  Our assigned table was all the way to the left of the stage, near the wall and this was our view.  I did not want to get out of my seat to get a better photo.
After the show, Rapunzel walked around the dining room to greet all her guests and thank them for coming to her birthday party.

She even stopped by our table to have a little chat.

A bit later Flynn Rider stopped by our table and one of our table mates got to get a photo with him.
There was also a little bit of dancing around the dining room with characters, wait staff, and guests.

Next up was our dessert course.

Since we were at Rapunzel's,  I thought I should of course order the frying pan dessert, which was Rapunzel's Fry Pan Sweet Bread. I did not like this at all. I really didn't know what it would be like because I never had sweet bread before. It tasted like a stale donut. I don't even like donuts when they are fresh, so I just ate the ice cream on top.

Lacey ordered the Birthday cake sundae, which she really enjoyed!

Even after dessert, the entertainment continued with some folk music.
These ladies were walking around the dining room playing their instruments and singing modern day tunes in a folksy style. One song I remember them playing was "Stand by Me". This was actually an enjoyable part of the dining experience.

We were both very impressed with this restaurant. The theming here was just wonderful. No detail was left unnoticed, from the lanterns to the place settings. This dining room had the perfect combination of theming, good food ( except for my dessert), and entertainment.  We love a Disney restaurant with good entertainment!  This dining room would be comparable to eating at Arendelle on the Disney Wish!

It just so happened that after dinner, the main stage show for the night was "Tangled". So this quickly became the theme for our evening!

I know I already mentioned that Animator's Palate may have been my favorite restaurant on the ship, but now I think it may be this one!

Till next time ~M & L
