Can you believe we've had Disney Plus since December and I've never once turned it on till last weekend? Yea, me neither!
My husband was the one who subscribed to it and I just assumed it was just all old Disney movies. Boy was I wrong!
The first series I watched was called Be Our Chef. This is the cutest family cooking show. The two families are given a theme related to a Disney movie and the families have to create a meal to represent it. I think one of my favorites was the bread bowl (for soup) that was created to look like Cinderella's pumpkin coach. The meals are judged by a real Disney chef that works at one of the Disney properties and then the winning family will go on to compete against another family. The winning family will win a Disney Cruise! I haven't found out who won yet though because only 3 episodes were available when I watched. Perhaps I will check back this weekend to see if any more were added.
The second series I started was The Imagineering Story. This, my friends has been the story I have been waiting for for years! No, I did not know this series was being made, but it was one I've always hoped for. It is the story of how all the Disney parks came to be (even the international parks) . Even when you think you know a lot about Disney, there will still be more "inside stories" that will surprise you. You'll even learn about some parks that were planned out but never brought to life. I've only watched three episodes so far (they are an hour long). I don't know how many episodes there are but I am hooked! I'll definitely be watching more this weekend.
Have you watched any of these episodes? -M
Imagineering sounds cool, even though I'm not a big Disney fan. Alas, we do not have that channel (in fact, we don't even have cable).
ReplyDeleteMy husband watches some cooking shows, though!
I always get hooked on Cooking shows!
DeleteI think I'd like that Imagineering show. I first visited WDW in 1976, right after it opened. Growing up in small town Illinois, we were amazed at what we found! And that was only when they had the Magic Kingdom. It's incredible what they've done.
ReplyDeleteI am still amazed each time I visit!
DeleteWe do have Disney plus but admittedly have not watched anything yet! Thanks for the ideas. Have a good weekend
ReplyDeleteSince you like to create recipes I think you would really like the Be Our Chef show!
DeleteWe don't have Disney Plus. My husband is getting his money's worth and then some from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video!
ReplyDeleteI have watched those very little but I hear there are a ton of good shows on there!
DeleteI havent seen Be our Chef - I'll totally need to check out that one.
ReplyDeleteI've been LOVING Encore - with the people who were in their high school musical doing it 10-20 years later. Awesoome.
I've also been into the new wood working competition on there. My dad had me working in a wood shop when I was young so I love it
The wood working competition sounds cool. I'll have to check that out!
Deletesounds fun.
ReplyDeleteI just get Netflix - one free month.
I am loving Schitt's Creek.
A lot of people seem to love that one. I have not checked it out.
DeleteW don't have Disney plus. We have been watching Netflix when I can convince my husband to turn off the food network. He loves cooking shows!
ReplyDeleteI also love the Food network ( and QVC too....shhh).
DeleteWe watched the first couple episodes of the Imagineering Story and really enjoyed it! I still need to go back and finish it.
ReplyDeleteI'm still only on episode 3. I'm glad you are enjoying it too!
DeleteWe have disney plus as well and since my daughter is only 1.5, I've enjoyed it way more than her right now :) xo, Biana
ReplyDeleteI Know, so many good shows for adults too!
DeleteI have been wanting to watch Be Our Guest with my kids. I am sure they would love it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Imagineering Story - the best <3

We don't have Disney Plus but the Imagineering Story sounds cool!
ReplyDeleteI haven’t watched these! We’ve been watching ALL the Marvel movies. My husband and son could watch everyone a million times and never get sick of them
ReplyDeleteMy youngest daughter would love the chef show but we don't have Disney Plus. The show about how parks came to be would also fascinate me. It's just so grand, to a whole new scale, and I always wonder who has this big of an imagination and all the people and intricate details that go into not only creating, but also maintaining those parks.
