Since February is a somewhat short month, I thought I would be able to keep up with the "One Sentence a day" and link up with my friend Rebecca Jo. Turns out, I forgot to write a lot of things down and I came up with a lot of empty days on my calendar. The only thing I kept record of mostly was Sybil's health concerns ( and during February there were a lot of them) and I doubt anyone wants to read the play by play on that.
So instead of skipping the month all together, I thought I would just do a February highlight reel. Does that work?
Reporting Live from Chocolate Fest..... SO Much Chocolate!
Friday we had to take Sybil to the Emergency Puppy hospital and could finally pick her up on Saturday night at 10 pm!
Reported live from the Polar Bear Plunge! People are crazy to plunge in the cold water but they all have fun and some even dress up. One guy dressed as the Coca-Cola bear.
I was not liking Sybil's large dog crate ( we call it her condo) in the living room, so we spent all day rearranging furniture between our living room and our den. It resulted in us getting a new TV ( which we did not need), but I love how much room we seem to have now. It's amazing what a little rearranging can do.
Went out with some friends to celebrate Valentine's day. After we left the restaurant a tractor trailer truck crashed into the front window of the restaurant. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Reported live from Snowfest 2020! Got to watch my sister race and had some wonderful Chicken Corn Soup!
No Work on Presidents day! I used this time to start Spring Cleaning. It feels so great to have organized cabinets and closets! Turns out, I had another day off on Tuesday as well when work was closed due to a water main break. It was nice to have a 4 day weekend.
Met my Pappy and our small crew for our Friday nights at Dunkin. Coffee and Donuts with family on a Friday night might not sound like a big night out, but it's nice to catch up with the ones you love.
Sybie earned her Star Puppy award for passing her puppy school!
Gave the blog a little update. Did you notice?
Oh, and at the last minute ( literally on February 29), we got Sybie a sister.
We finally got Sybie trained and now we have to chase after another little one. I know someday having two dogs will be a blessing. Right now it's just hard!
What were some of your highlights from February? -M
Wait...another puppy? ;-) That's exciting!!
ReplyDeleteIt was my husband's idea!
DeleteTwo puppies? How fun and how brave! Looking forward to lots of cute photos!
ReplyDeleteSybil has been really good since we got the puppy. It's the new puppy that is the handful!
DeleteYour new puppy is adorable! We always used to have 2 dogs. They keep each other company. Glad no one was hurt in that tractor trailer crash. It looks scary!
ReplyDeleteWe had two dogs before and it worked out great ( although they were not both puppies at the same time).
DeleteOh wow, that truck crashing into the restaurant looks really scary! Glad no one was hurt. And yay for another puppy! She's so cute :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and it's not letting me add a link for some reason. The note says "registration/trial expired."
DeleteI am SO SORRY about the link up. I'm not sure what happened.
DeleteYea, so thankful the crash happened while there was no one there eating.
Oh yes, we'd pretty much finally gotten Chester trained and then we adopted Lola. Even though they were basically the same age, she wasn't trained. Mr. Judy was not happy.
ReplyDeleteBut lots of fun this month too! Chocolate Fest! I need some of that in my life!
Yea, ours are only about 41 days apart! I would have preferred to wait a little longer but this was going to be the last litter that we would be able to get before fall.
DeleteYou got another puppy!? Wow! Must be a fun time.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to sleeping-in someday!
DeleteWhat a busy month! No wonder you didn't have time for the daily sentence! Your puppy is absolutely adorable! You will have so much fun with her!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! I should be starting my sentences for March! These puppies will definitely be keeping us busy!
DeleteSuch a busy month!
ReplyDeleteOh geez I can't imagine having two little dogs! Puppies are like kids! So much work! That's crazy that truck accident! Glad it didn't happen while you guys were in there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a February! That's scary a truck crashed into that restaurant. Congrats on another puppy!
ReplyDeleteI cant believe how big Sybil already is!!!! They grow up way too fast.
ReplyDeleteIsnt' that nuts that the truck hit after you left? That's scary!!!
I like this recap - a fun little way to get in all the things that mattered. Sybil coming home is the biggest thing that mattered!!!
I like the new blog banner! Very nice :) And congrats on the new puppy. Those chocolates look sooo good - I could use one or five right now! Thank God no one was hurt in that truck collision?!
ReplyDeleteTwo holy cows - that truck crash AND the newest puppy! Can't wait to hear about the puppy adventures together. :)
