Combining our love of healthy cooking and Disney while cooking with Chef Mickey |
Pretty soon the Disney races and running in general kind of took over this space.
For the last 5 years, we've talked about running techniques, running recovery, running fuel, running clothes and accessories, and just training in general. It's safe to say as far as running is concerned we pretty much covered it!
For this reason, we feel it is time for us to branch out a bit and become more of that Healthy Living/Lifestyle blog. For so long we tried to keep our blog strictly focused on Fitness/Running but we'd really like to write more about other aspects of our life, because aren't you tired of hearing us talk about running?
We are keeping our name Fairytales and Fitness but over the next couple weeks we hope to update our blog. We are still going to write about running and racing (because you know I love writing a good race recap) but we hope to possibly add more posts about food, travel, fashion, and home.
Our new Friday Link up is part of our change. Please be patient with us as this is the first link up we've done where we had to create an HTML code. As of right now it is only set up to drop a link ( no picture) but please do not let that deter you from linking up with us.
This link up is open to all Healthy Lifestyle bloggers. Please only drop one link per blog and be sure to comment on this blog and as many others as you can.
We are always looking for other bloggers to connect with. Please give us suggestions on other Healthy Living bloggers or link ups we might be interested in.
I've always enjoyed reading about both of your adventures. Looking forward to seeing what the new blog brings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy! That's nice to hear!
DeleteI didn't know that you were a nutrition teacher - how cool!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog and look forward to seeing the changes that your blog makes this month!
Yes, I taught High School for a few years and then added Middle School to my schedule!
DeleteThat was kind of my intention too when I started my blog, because I'm really passionate about a healthy lifestyle. But I still write about running more (and I have no degrees in nutrition!).
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to mix things up a bit and we need to do more of that here on our blog!
DeleteAll the best with the new direction of your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That is our intention but we'll see how it goes!
DeleteCongratulations on your "new" project. I like to shake things up sometimes too! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have a feeling it will be a process!
DeleteThanks for keeping the link up going! I'm looking forward to the broader themes here, too! I started my blog and social as a deal finding blog (b/c I'm a very good shopper) and have morphed into running, nutrition, fitness and lifestyle over the years. Change is good!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are a good shopper!
DeleteHow cool that you were a nutrition teacher! It took me a while to figure out all the options for link up codes -- you'll get there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYea, for someone who is not very "techy", I ran into a few glitches!
DeleteThanks for keeping the link-up alive and well ;-) It's always great checking in each week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, we are happy to do so! Thanks for linking up!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing how your blog evolves!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see where you take your blog & all the fun tips & posts you'll be doing!
ReplyDeleteI hope we can maintain this blog and take it in the direction we hope!
DeleteCool! You know me, I love reading about other parts of people's lives. I can't wait for the fashion blogs!
ReplyDeleteThat's why you need to go back to IG and join #FashionFriday with Kim from @Runningonthefly! We post there!
DeleteFun! Healthy food is essential for good training :) And no so healthy food ;-p
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be a lot of desserts too!
DeleteSounds like a great change! I did not know you were a nutrition teacher. I feel like the topics I usually blog about have (unintentionally) narrowed over time also.
ReplyDeleteI think it's natural for us to take interest in certain things and then that become what we talk about!
DeleteWhen I first started blogging I had different intentions for where I would go with it. I've found its best to do what feels natural! Hope this change goes well for you!
ReplyDeleteThank Lisa. I hope we can keep up with it.
Deletei love it! I'm also thinking of adding a bit more (though I already kind of have done so) to my blog and changing the format a bit! It's so great to share the passion of running and all things related but let's face it, there are other things in life that we are passionate about and want to share!
ReplyDeleteI would love to dive more into nutrition by the way... I'm leaning towards going back to school (again) but don't tell my husband as he'll likely move out while I'm studying! haha!
That's great that you want to go back to school!
DeleteI hope our readers like reading a bit more than just running. I guess we will see!
