During any given visit to Disney you have the opportunity to ride several modes of transportation, probably even more than you realize. It's pretty guaranteed that we will be on a bus, a monorail, and depending on which resort we are staying at or visiting, perhaps even a boat.
The next time you visit Disney, look around you. There are so many ways people are getting from here to there.
We first got to ride the WDW Jitney after the WDW Marathon in 2013. I can't believe I never noticed this ride before. The Jitney can be found in Magic Kingdom. It takes you from the hub on Main Street to Cinderella's Castle. We were among the first people at the castle and the driver even asked if we wanted him to take a picture of us with it!
The horse drawn trolley is the one thing I have always wanted to ride but have never seen it during my visit at Disney World. I finally got to ride it last month during our visit to Disneyland. It picks riders up at the hub on Main Street and drops them off in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
I would have loved to rode this Cable Car at Disney's California Adventure but I didn't get a chance. I'm pretty sure this vehicle makes a loop through the hub on Buena Vista Street to Hollywood land and back.
What is your favorite mode of transportation at Disney?
We are linking up with Deb from Focused on the Magic.
Cute post. We took all the different main street vehicles back when Christine was young, but have not riden them in years. I actually loved the cable car (like ski lift type) that was in MK many years ago but was removed due to small capacity per hour. You got a great view of the park from above!.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't remember that ski lift thing. I may have to go look that one up!
DeleteI've never ridden any Main Street vehicles!! Definitely need to remedy that next time! :)
ReplyDeleteIs this your first time posting in the WW linkup? If so, welcome!! :)
DeleteThanks Karen! We've actually joined the link up before but have forgotten about it over the past few months!
DeleteDisneyland no longer has this but they used to have the Skyway. You could ride it from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland. It would even pass through the Matterhorn.
ReplyDeleteI remember the sky lift in magic kingdom many moons ago. That was back in the day whe you got a booklet with the coveted E tickets too. Thankfully you could purchase additional E tickets.
ReplyDeleteI love the Main Street vehicles too! My favorite is a lot unconventional, but I love riding in a golf cart around Fort Wilderness during the holidays to check out all the decorations!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... I would want the carriage EVERY MOMENT THERE :) #dreamlife
ReplyDeleteI've ALWAYS wanted to ride one of the Main Street vehicles, that has to be such a cool experience. And don't even get me started on Cinderella's carriage. Cool post! :)
ReplyDeleteNice! Who doesn't want to ride on Cinderella's carriage! ?
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting Disneyland later this year- I look forward to checking some of these out in person!
ReplyDeleteI've never ridden any of the ones on your list. My favourite way to get around at WDW is usually via monorail. I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't know you could ride the Main Street vehicles!!! We will be there next week and may have to do that!!!
ReplyDeleteFun post! The Monorail was my friend there, that and the bus that took me to the race start:) But seriously, if I could live out my Cinderella fantasy, I would so be taken everywhere in the horse drawn carriage:) Ya, I'd even go from ride to ride of course in a full gown, LOL
ReplyDeleteAs a child, I loved the monorail. They used to let you ride up front with the drivers. Of course, that's all changed now, but I still love the monorail!
ReplyDeleteSo many choices! The Cinderella Coach would be my dream ride and my favorite way to get around is the monorail. Thanks for sharing and for joining in the blog hop fun!
ReplyDeleteWe used to just run from one end of the park to another! Of course I'd be all over Cinderella's carraige
ReplyDeleteI love taking the train around the park at Disneyland. It's so archaic but that makes it entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI love riding the train around the outside and also the monorail. Neither are unconventional, but still like them. Loved the skyway when I was kid. Cinderella's carriage is the real way to travel Disney in style though, I must admit.
