This is How Disney Rolls

Welcome to another addition of Thursday Thoughts! We are at Disney World today and I wanted to remember to tell you guys about something funny I heard about Disney bathrooms the other day. Stop me if you heard this one. Apparently Disney bathrooms are rated!

What I mean by this is that not all resort bathroom are created equal. Oh no no. Now this is not a discovery that I found out on my own. I read it on Build a Better Mouse Trip, which I subscribe to.

We all know that the Disney resorts are labeled Deluxe, Moderate, and Value but did you know that title is labeling more than just the room? Apparently it refers to the TP in the bathroom too!

According to Build a Better Mouse Trip, the Deluxe resorts supply the thick, quilted TP, The Moderate resorts supply semi-thick but not quilted TP, and the Values give you the thinnest TP there is!

Build a Better Mouse Trip is now encouraging people to take pictures of the resort TP a share it on their Pinterest Board that they will be making.

This has me wondering now what the TP is like in the common areas of the resort. For instance, does the Yacht Club only use the soft quilted TP in the guest rooms or will you find it in the lobby bathrooms as well?  What about in the resort restaurants? What kind of TP do they supply in the parks ( I bet I can guess on this one)?

I can't believe I just wrote a blog post on TP!  But it's Disney TP so it's all good, right?

Do you notice the quality of the TP in your resort/hotel room?

Tomorrow we head to the Race Expo and Saturday is the big day, TWO races!

We'll see ya tomorrow for the Friday Five!

  1. bwahahahahahahaha. Of course the TP is Deluxe, Mod and Valu. When we stayed in AKL this year we noticed they had your standard size shampoo stuff AND also a bigger size...wondering what the criteria is to receive the bigger size daily?

  2. What about EPCOT? Could you imagine if they matched the bathrooms in WS to the standards of the host country? ;)

I now have a mission for this weekend :D

    1. If that was the case, there would be some countries we would avoid for sure...( or at least their bathroom facilities)..lol

  5. We've stayed at Disney twice in the last 5 years and never noticed this! Maybe we were too busy looking for the Hidden Mickeys.

  7. Definitely something I've not noticed before. Every time I've been at Disney I've been with my parents and we've stayed at one type of resort. I don't have anything to compare the TP to.

  10. Never stayed at value and I would hate the TP from the info in this post!

  11. Haha - interesting! I usually stay at the value resorts, but don't think the TP is too awful, considering it's their lowest quality. I've used much worse, but certainly better. Good luck this weekend!
