Our Evening at Magic Kingdom

Most times when we visit Magic Kingdom, we go later in the day. We notice the mornings are so crowded and by late afternoon or early evening crowds start to thin out and lines are a bit shorter.

This time we arrived at Magic Kingdom a little before 6:00 pm. Here is how we spent our time.

First order of business was getting a Cheeseburger Spring roll from the Spring roll cart in Adventureland.

This cart has limited hours of operation so I'm so glad we got here on time.

Each day there are 2 flavors of Spring rolls to choose from. The cheeseburger flavor is always a choice and then depending on the day, the other flavor might be Pepperoni or something else.
I always go for 2 of the cheeseburger ones because they are just so good!

After eating our Spring rolls, we noticed Pirates of the Caribbean was only a 5 minute wait ( which is basically a walk on), so of course we had to ride that.
There's nothing like the smell of pirate water!

After Pirates, we took some obligatory photo pass photos in front of Cinderella Castle, and then headed over to Liberty Square.

Wow, we timed this just right! Seeing a wait time of 13 minutes for Haunted Mansion, means this is a "walk on" as well.  We often hit Haunted Mansion during really short wait times, but just once I wouldn't mind waiting in a longer line so I could really pay attention to all the details in the queue. .
Fun Disney fact:  Haunted Mansion cast members have a bat on their costume. The cast members name their bats. We asked this lovely cast member what her bat's name was and she told us it was named Petunia! She gave us permission to photograph her.

Well, no ride on Haunted Mansion is complete without it stopping at least once. It never fails for us.

Next, we headed over to the Hall of Presidents.  This attraction is not always a must do on all our visits to MK, but this day we decided to go in because we had not seen it since the new President took office.

I must say I was a little disappointed that Disney did not even put some Presidents in the correct order.

After that, we went to Small World, which had only a 10 minute wait. We wanted to hear the last verse of the "It's a Small World" song, that had recently been added. It was hard to hear, but we did hear some of it.
I use to really like this ride but the more I ride it, the less patience I have for it..lol. But it just seems like a Disney World right of passage. Did you even go to Magic Kingdom if you didn't ride Small World?

While we were in Fantasyland, we decided to watch Mickey's PhilharMagic, which is a 3D show. We've seen this hundreds of times and I hope I never lose patience for this one!

We took a short break to get a bite to eat at Pecos Bill. I think we both got these Taco bowls or some variation of it.

The Jungle Cruise was our last ride for the evening. The Jungle Cruise definitely has a different vibe when you ride it at night.

Tonight we wanted to watch Disney's Starlight night time Electrical Parade.  We were excited to see what this was all about. The parade first premiered only a few nights earlier, so we hadn't heard any reviews or seen anything about it on social media. We actually didn't go looking for any information about it because we wanted to be surprised.

We went to the later parade at 11:00pm.  We found at spot in Frontierland.  As we waited, a photopass photographer was coming around doing photos with their new sign for the parade.

We had a little bit of time yet till the parade started so we got a Dole Whip while we waited.

I like the pineapple coconut swirl one!

Normally, Magic Kingdom parades start in Frontierland and end on Main Street.
We were surprised to find out that this particular parade starts on Main Street and ends where we were watching the arcade in Frontierland.

Before we exited Magic Kingdom for the night, I ducked into the Main Street Confectionery to grab this watermelon Slushy.

And that was our evening at Magic Kingdom!

We go to Magic Kingdom often so it's not imperative that we do everything each time,  but I feel we always get to do a lot with the time that we are there.

Till next time! ~M & L
