What I ate at Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival

Best things to try at Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival at Disney World, Fairytales and Fitness Disney blog

The last post I made about Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival focused on the beautifully artistic topiaries. This post however is focused on all the fabulous food!

Flower and Garden Festival Passport

The first thing I do at any festival is grab a Festival passport!

Festival Gift card wristlet

And then, another smart thing to do is to purchase a festival gift card that you can wear on your wrist.  You can pick this up at any retail location. You put money on them just like any other gift card. The convenient thing is, that you can wear it on your wrist so you don't have to keep digging in your pocket to get your cash or another card! They are very convenient!

Chicken and waffles at Honey Bee-stro

The first  festival booth I stopped at was the Honey Bee-stro for the Chicken and Waffles. This isn't the typical chicken a waffles dish I would eat. The chicken was crispy and it sat upon a honey sweet cornbread waffle. It was topped with honey butter and spicy honey.  It was ok. You could definitely taste the sweetness of the butter and the spice of the honey. It was a nice balance. The chicken could have been a bit crispier and warmer.  Overall, it was a nice twist to the chicken and waffles.

The next booth I visited was the Swirled Showcase.

Liquid nitro honey mascarpone cheesecake
There were a lot of sweet treats at this booth that all sounded delicious, but I chose the Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake. I heard this review on the Disney Food Blog and they said it was a good treat to get. They were not wrong! It was delicious! It was very cold on your teeth because of the liquid nitrogen, so if you have have sensitive teeth you may want to avoid. It was a refreshing snack in the Florida heat!

Orange sesame tempura shrimp
From the Citrus Blossom booth, I got the Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp. The Tempura was nice and crispy and it has sesame seeds on top. This had an Orange Chili sauce for dipping. This was a good portion size with 5 large shrimp.

Grilled warm water lobster with key lime butter
Grilled Warm Water Lobster Tail with Key lime butter from the Florida Fresh booth. It was very good, but it was a bit of a challenge to cut it apart with a plastic knife, which made it very messy. But it was worth the extra work.

Keylime slush from Citrus Blossom booth.
Key Lime Slush, also located in the Citrus Blossom Booth. I ordered my shrimp first and wanted to ask people their thoughts on this drink, then decide. The consensus was that it was worth trying it. And it too did not disappoint!

Fairytales and Fitness Disney blog

There are certain dishes and drinks that return from year to year, like the Frushi, and the Frozen Violet Lemonade.  Please check out our other posts on the Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival to check out some dishes that we've tried that are Festival Favorites.
