Thank You...
I'm sure most of you have seen this picture of Baylee before, but I thought it was quite appropriate for this post today.
If you didn't already know, my sweet Baylee passed away the last Friday in June. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. There really are no words. She was my baby for 13 and a half years and now there is a huge void.
However, I am grateful that so many people ( whether I knew them in real life or just online) knew how much I loved Baylee and how much she meant to me. It did my heart well to know that the love I had for her shined through this blog and other social media channels.
I want to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you who took the time to reach out to me during this time. Whether you sent me private messages on IG, left comments on my post, emailed, or texted, it meant the world to me.
I continue to be humble and blessed that some friends ( like Megan from Meg Go Run) drove over an hour to come be with me as soon as she found out about Baylee.
Thank you to those who visited, and those of you who sent flowers and cards. Again, it truly meant the world. Baylee may not have been a physical human, but she had the sweetest soul I've ever known and human or not, when you lose someone you love, the hurt is still the same.
Again, Thank You -M

We don’t usually spend as much time with humans as we do with our animals. Of course it leaves a huge hole. It gets better, I promise. We all grieve in our own ways & there is no timeline to grieving.
ReplyDeleteNever forget though that Baylee loved/loves you too. She wants you to be happy.
I know what you mean, we would always choose spending time with Baylee over other things or take her with us when we could!
DeleteSo very sorry for your loss, Meranda. It's very evident how special Baylee was to you, and I hope you find comfort in knowing she will live in your heart forever <3
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim. I'm glad I got to share our bond through the blog, although that was never my intention. I guess it just came naturally.

DeleteSo sorry to hear. I sympathize. I lost my favorite cat this year. I miss him everyday. He would always wait in the driveway for me to get home and he is no longer there. But I had for 20 years and I feel lucky.
ReplyDeleteBaylee was lucky to be loved and have you.
Thank you Darlene! Wow, 20 years, what a blessing.
