Chatting over Coffee

Happy June! I realize I missed the official Coffee Talk Link up withe Deborah and Coco but I'm feeling quite chatty so I thought  I would share some thoughts anyway.    If we were having Coffee here are the 5 things I would mention.

1. First off, I would mention that I went to Starbucks this week for my free birthday treat. I wanted a frappe and asked the barista if they had a cookies & cream flavor. She said no, but some people will take the double chocolate chip and add white instead of chocolate and that is as close to cookies & cream as they get.  I asked "white what"? Did she mean white milk instead of chocolate milk? It was white chocolate chips.  I than asked her what the feature flavors were and she told me Caramel Ribbon, one I didnt remember, and a Mocha Cookie Crumble.   Well, I ordered the Mocha Cookie Crumble and it tasted just like Cookies & Cream! Why didn't she just offer me that flavor to begin with?

2. I would also mention that this is our first week of the #MoneyOnTheMove summer challenge. Now I Rarely find money but my total this week was 36 cents! I thought I was in the lead until I came home on Thursday and saw my sister found a $5 bill on her run!

3. Over coffee I would be extremely excited to tell you I am officially on Summer break! Yay!

4. My first outing this summer will be to the QVC Beauty Bash this weekend. Yes, I love QVC and am super excited to attend this event. If I remember,  I will try to story some of the event on IG.

5. And for this BIGGEST news I would share with you..

This is Epi. ( I'm not even sure how to spell her name because she was already named) She is an English Cream Golden Retriever ( what we've been wanting).  My family acquired her this week and it is quite a story how they got her. Right now she is very docile but so far she gets along with Baylee and Belle so that makes us happy! Stay tuned.... M

Let's chat.... What will your first summer outing be?  What flavor frappe have you recently had?  Isn't Epi a cutie?

  1. Epi is beautiful! I didn't know there was such a thing as an English Cream Golden! Anyways, I love your little posse of pups.

Since I mostly run on the bike path, it's pretty unlikely that I'll find $$. But you never know!

    1. Yea, I feel like there is less chance of finding money on designated paths than there is in town on sidewalks!

    1. Thank Deborah! No, she will not be a runner. She is already 6 ( we think) and this breed is prone to hip dysplasia, so we wanted to prevent that as best we can.

  5. Oh! Happy birthday! Epi is such a doll! I wonder if her name was Eponine to begin with (after Les Miserables)? Regardless, she is doggy perfection. Enjoy her!

And enjoy summer break! We are two weeks in and loving it!

    1. Hmm, I don't know about the name. I thought perhaps her full name might be Epiphany. I am anxious to get her official papers and see what name is on it.

  7. Epi is beautiful!!! Yay for money and birthday starbucks and summer breaks!! I rarely ever find money, but I did find a EUR 10 bill in the Malaga airport last month on the ground next to some British guys having coffee. I asked them if they'd dropped it and they said they didn't and told me to "enjoy!" So, thanks to nameless for my morning coffee in the airport that day!!

I have exactly 7 more working days this month and I'm on summer holiday for 3 weeks... my first week is filled with concerts (Garbage, Rammstein and Muse), my second week we are driving up to Denmark for a week and my third week I don't have any plans.

  10. "Yes, I'd like cookies and cream"
"We don't have that any more but people says the one with chocolate chips is close. Pay no attention to the other frap with cookies in..."

Yeah for a new dog. My son's (he's almost 5) new desired pet is an Argentine Black and White Tegu. BIG lizard. This kid watches Wild Kratts like it's his job so when he saw one at the Science Center he watched it for like 20 minutes and said he wanted a "big lizard for a pet". Turns out they can make good pets and become attached to their owners much like dogs. I guess I know what might be in my future, because mom's not allergic to lizards, haha.

  11. Is Epi short for something? Doesn't matter, she sure is cute! That's wonderful that everyone is all getting along (seriously, why do I get all the hard cases????).

I found no money this week (3 outside runs, 1 treadmill run, nada).

I don't do Starbucks. At all. Don't drink coffee, and I'd rather make my tea myself than spend $$ on it. So I'm pretty clueless when it comes to Starbucks.

  12. Love Starbucks. Sounds delish.

Haven’t found any money in a long time. Will keep looking.

    Beautiful dog. Enjoy her.

  14. Awww, a new dog!! She's so pretty - can't wait to hear how she came into your family.

I got the caramel ribbon frap with extra caramel and it was yummmmmmmmmy. I really haven't hated any of the specialty fraps, although I wouldn't get the s'mores one again. Anyway, glad your drink was good - Happy Birthday!
