5 Beauty Product Favorites

I've never been one to go gaga over beauty products. I use them out of necessity, and that's that.  However, I recently started using some products that are just amazing and thought I would share them as my Friday 5 this week.

The products that I am sharing are ones that have pleasantly surprised me.
Most of these I wouldn't have thought about buying, but received them in one of my subscription boxes and now will definitely be purchasing them when I run out. I get the Walmart beauty box and the Influenster box

This Infusium 23 was from a past Influenster box and is to be used to tame frizzy hair and fly aways. Its perfect for the humidity we get here. I use it when I blow dry my hair. I put a little in while its still damp and it works great!

The Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer was from my most recent Walmart beauty box. It is a body lotion that you put on while you are still wet. I put it on right when I step out of the shower. It smells deliciously like honeysuckle. You should really try this, your body will thank you for it.

These were also in the Walmart beauty box and I was very happy to receive them. All my hair bands are all stretched out and I can't stand to use the gummy ones my sister uses because although they stay in very well, I feel like they just pull my hair out when I try to remove them.  These hair bands are silky smooth fabric on one side and have some little grippies on the other. A perfect combination. They stay put and they don't pull my hair out when I remove them.

I've been enjoying this Neutrogena Moisture Smooth lip color.  I love when I get cosmetics in my beauty box because I am horrible at selecting colors myself. This of course is a neutral color (Almond Nude) so I'm sure it looks good on most people. It keeps my lips super soft and quite honestly it taste good too. I think its like a peachy flavor. It just puts me in a good mood every time I put it on!

I just started using dry shampoo again after a friend told me that I could buy it at Walmart. I used it years ago but I had to order it online and it came in a powder form. You only got a few ounces and it was pretty expensive. I was thrilled to see I can now get this large bottle and its under $10!  I like the ease of the spray bottle too!

Well those are my Friday favorites. Tell me about a beauty product you're loving. Have you tried any of these products? -M

We're linking up the gals from the Friday 5.

  1. I haven't tried any of these products but I'm also not a big product user. My skin is pretty sensitive so I tend to use a lot of Aveeno products which I love.

    1. I am pretty stocked up on sunscreen for this year. Probably because I used so little of it last year.

  5. A good hair band is essential, especially when working out. I really need to invest in some good quality ones.

  6. I can not get myself to try the wet moisturizers! They're all over the place but the thought of putting a lotion on wet skin freaks me out. I'll take your word for it though!

  7. I need to try that wet moisturizer. I am weird about textures & stuff & lotions gross me out - but I dont think I'd mind it putting it on while my skin is wet anyways.

  12. I haven't tried dry shampoo yet but I know it is making a comeback. How does it work ? Do you just spray it on your roots ? You find it effective ?

    1. I spray it all over just like hairspray, but yes mainly on the roots. It puts some volume back in your hair.

  13. I got the Jergens wet skin moisturizer and the Goody slide-proof hairbands in my Wal-Mart box, too. Completely agree with you on both accounts - they are both fantastic products! I'll have to try the Pantene dry shampoo. I've tried Suave and Dove dry shampoo and liked both of them, but am always on the lookout for more kinds to try. Thanks for the suggestions!

  21. I was an Infusium fan years ago but somehow drifted away from it. Not sure why. One simply cannot have too many ponytail holders. Especially here with two daughters that take mine.

  22. I recently started using Ren Pure Brazilian straightening conditioner. It smells so good and leaves my hair silky smooth. I wish I could get these product boxes here in China!

  23. Nice list. I occasionally use dry shampoo and have only tried the Dove brand. I'll have to try the Pantene one.

  26. I subscribe to itsy and I've loved trying all of the new things! I recently got some awesome Smashbox mascara. I don't wear much make-up at all, but mascara is my go to.

I've never heard of the wet moisturizer before - I'll have to try that! It makes perfect sense...get to the skin while the pores are nice and open. Great post!
