Quick little get away.
I was tired of this cold weather so I decided to get away for a few days to somewhere warm. Why not San Juan? I stayed at the San Juan Water Beach Blue Hotel.
Even though it rained at some point during every day I was there, it was still much warmer than Virginia during this time of year. High 80's, who wouldn't want that? Even though it was so warm, there was still a sense of Christmas in the air which was evident by this fun display in the lobby!
Since it was pretty rainy there, I didn't get as much pool time or beach time in as I would have liked. There was a rooftop bar that was nice to have a few drinks at (good thing it was covered).
I appreciated the rooftop bar at the San Juan Water Beach Blue Hotel, but there seemed to be much more to do over at the El San Juan Resort and Casino which was within walking distance. I had a relaxing spa treatment at the spa and tried my luck at the resort casino! I was happy to have won some money at the casino, which paid for a great dinner at a nice steakhouse that evening!
The next day the sun did come out just enough to enjoy the pool for a bit and a walk on the beach!
