Since I have been teaching more classes at the gym, I felt the need to go shopping for more workout attire. I teach Body Pump and RPM(cycle class). I have several shorts for running but I do not like wearing them when I teach class because I feel like shorts ride up too much during class. I wanted to purchase some fun capris for fall because I only had boring black ones in my wardrobe.
1.My first new pair that I added to my collection were a pair of Adidas ones.
Yes I know they are black but they at least have some color in them. They were actually given to me from a friend so I can't be too picky! I only had to find a top to go with them. I found this orange top to match at Old Navy, but since the material is so sheer I purchased this matching bra to wear with it. The bra really is the same coral color as the top and the matching stripe on the pants but for some reason it kept turning out pink in the picture!
3.I'm loving these blue patterned ones and luckily I found this blue top that matches perfectly!
It wasn't so easy to find a top to match my new purple tights but luckily I had this plain black one. When in doubt wear black, right?
4.Now that I look at this photograph I know that these pants look a lot like the first blue pair i bought, but these ones are actually teal. I paired these pants with a different black tank that I already had. This tank is by Brooks and is one of my absolute favorites. Not only does it match a lot but there is a pocket in the back that you can store your key or GU in. Perfect for those shorter runs where there is no need for a fuel belt or if you don’t have any pockets in your shorts.
5.The last pair I bought were these blue pattern ones. I didn't want to wear a black tank with these since there isn't any black in them. As of now, I still haven't found a top to match.
I definitely think I'm set with running capris/pants for this fall! -L
Have you added any fun pieces to your running wardrobe this fall?
We are linking up with the lovely ladies from the Friday Five!
Unfortunately yes, I have spent a lot of money on workout clothes this fall. I am running more as marathon training begins and of course NEEDED new clothes. LOL. Love what you have piked out. Do you like Old Navy things ? I am afraid they will smell with time.... that is the biggest gripe I have about some of the brands out there.
ReplyDeleteI feel like any brand will smell with time. Especially if you don't wash it right aways after a workout which I have leared.
DeleteLots of great buys! I need to ban myself from buying any more workout clothes for a while. I keep buying more and convincing myself that you can never have enough, but I just don't have the room to store them all!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I say. But for me it is true bc I work at the gym.
DeleteThose Old Navy capris are really cute! Its hard to not buy too much when you see so many cute things at such great prices.
ReplyDeleteYes I know! That's how I feel.
DeleteYou got some great stuff! I've never tried Old Navy workout wear. I've gotten way too much this fall. But it's fun and I'll use it, right?
ReplyDeleteYep. Well next time you are looking for some check there. Great prices.
DeleteNew workout clothes always make me get off my butt and go,go,go! I really need to get some more. Yours are so cute!
ReplyDeleteExactly. I always feel like my workouts go so much better when I wear a new outfit and feel good in it.
DeleteWow, you found some great workout gear. Patterned capris are really fun and I agree about wearing the shorter shorts for exercise class. I have not shopped for any fall running clothes, but my sister did send me a really cute Brooks quarter zip top from their new fall line. I love the Old Navy tank tops with the drawstring at the bottom. They are really comfy and sometimes I prefer something a little looser.
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern Capris but I think it's always harder to find a matching top. I bet that Brooks zip top wil be perfect for the fall. They make really good workout attire too.
DeleteI am all set for fall running. I normally wear shorts up until it is time for my winter pants! Shorts, long sleeve, vest, and gloves hehe. I stocked up on a bunch of awesome shorts from Wal Mart over the summer.
ReplyDeleteIt helps that it is dark out when I run and the only people I see are random dog walkers so matching is not a priority for me.
Well thats good.I sleep In so I feel like there are always people out during my runs so I have to match.
DeleteI never find anything that cute at Old Navy! I may have to head over there. Great, just what I need! More running clothes!
ReplyDeleteI always seem to find stuff there. Too much! Not sure if that's a good thing. But I can never pass up a sale
DeleteI'm holding out until Christmas because I have some items on my list for working out. I've got items from Running Skirts, Sweaty Bands and Oiselle.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I will have another list of running clothes for Christmas as well.
DeleteI have a serious issue shopping for fitness clothes and I pretty much live in them. That's the way I justify it anyway
ReplyDeleteMe too! I work at the gym so I feel like I need to wear them on a daily basis. I do feel guilty buying nice outfits bc I never seem to go out anywhere that I would need that type of outfit.
Deleteoh yes, i've added a number of things to my fitness wardrobe. i'm on a self imposed shopping hiatus :)
ReplyDeleteI love shopping for fitness clothes opposed to everyday clothes. Wait, my workout clothes are my everyday clothes:)
DeleteLook at all the color & patterns!! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteOld navy is the BEST! I cant get out of there without buying something workout related.
I love the colorful ones but they are harder to find tops to match. But when I see them on sale I can't pass them up and just think that I will eventually find one to match.
DeleteWhat cute things! I recently bought some black-on-black patterned capris from ON and really like them - they've definitely come into their own with workout gear, lots of cute stuff there.
ReplyDeleteYes they have. And reasonably priced.
DeleteThat sports bra is adorable! Where did you find that one? I love all of your patterned capris; you are going to be teaching in style, girl! Hope you have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThat sports bra I got at Dicks Sporting Goods. I also got a purple one just like that. I really like the quality bc the padding doesn't come out while it's in the wash.
DeleteI ordered my first capris from Spandits- looking forward to breaking them in!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of that brand. Hope they work out for you.
DeleteI'm wearing Old Navy Capris right now! Target and Brick Betty are my go-tos for sports bras. Seriously opposite ends of the financial spectrum, but they fulfill all my needs! And the BB bras are incredible.
ReplyDeleteGood to know.I will have to check there. I purchased some sports bras at Dicks Sporting Goods. They were pricey but I like the fact the padding doesn't come out during the wash.
DeleteSuch cute clothes!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I have gotten alot of compliments at the gym.
DeleteNice! I think a white tank would work with all the bottoms & would be a good investment piece. I won't answer your question whether I've bought new workout clothes lately, because it's me so you know I have!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time wearing white tops. I always think they are too sheer. I would definitely have to wear a good sports bra underneath.
DeleteYou have an awesome collection of capris! I have several pairs from previous years that haven't gotten much wear since I was training indoors so much last winter. I'm trying to resist a splurge on all the awesome new patterns out this season.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was way overdue for new workout attire.
ReplyDeleteWow, seriously so much great stuff. Love the fun patterns.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute looks! I need to add to my fall running collection :-)
