Day 3 on the Disney Magic- Pirate Night

Day three on the Disney Magic continued with Pirate night.

When we got back on the ship, we headed to our state room to get ready for pirate night.
We were excited to see that there were two pirate bandanas delivered to our room. They delivered these to all staterooms. They would go perfect with the outfits we planned to wear tonight.

Pirate night is so fun. This is the only night that is really a "themed" night and practically everyone on the ship is dressed for it. Some people are in full fledged pirate gear and others are wearing t-shirts with pirate Mickey on them, but everyone has gotten into the spirit of the evening.

We had a little time before dinner, so we walked around the ship to see who was out for photos tonight. Captain Jack Sparrow was doing pictures near the theater and Captain Hook and and Mr. Smee were together in the Atrium.

We decided to get photos with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. This line for photos was the longest one we waited in during this cruise, but it was worth it and a fun way to document pirate night.

Dinner tonight was back in the Rapunzel dinning room. The dinning room decor did not change but the wait staff were in their pirate gear.

We had a Pirates of the Caribbean themed dinner menu.

                                                                        Our Appetizers.

                                                              Our EntrĂ©es
For her entree Lacey got Jack's treasure of the sea which was grilled shrimp and scallops over pasta.

For my entree I got the King George's strip loin with cabbage, potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. I've never had  Yorkshire pudding before. In fact, I forgot it was even a part of the entree. When they brought the plat out to me, at first glance I thought the Yorkshire pudding was a baked potato! FYI, Yorkshire pudding is more like a a pastry. It has very little flavor. I tasted it, but did not eat it.

                                                                                Our desserts.

For dessert I got Bananas in Paradise which was a chocolate and Hazelnut cake.
Lacey got the Pirate's Treasure sundae.

There was no main stage show tonight after dinner because of the pirate party later in the night.

While walking around the ship, we saw Minnie in her pirate outfit so we got in line for a photo.

We later saw Chip and Dale.

At 10:00pm we went out to deck 10 to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean deck party.  There was a pirate band set up on the stage, characters and cast members alike were dressed in pirate gear and performed some song and dance.

This set up was a tad bit different from when we were on the Disney Wish. On the Wish there were two pirate parties. The first party was in the Atrium ( which is much larger on the Wish), and it is where the characters did a little song and dance skit. And then we went outside for the pirate band and fireworks at sea. You can see our Disney Wish pirate night post HERE.

On the Disney Magic, all the pirate night festivities were outside on the pool deck. Disney characters in their pirate outfits dance right along side of the other pirates as they played music.

There was then an appearance from pirate Mickey as he slid on a zipline to make his way down to the deck. Mickey then announced there would be a fireworks show!
After the fireworks, we began heading back to our stateroom.

On the way, we passed Pinocchio's Pizzeria, so we grabbed a slice of pizza and a drink.

After that, we made our way to the stateroom and called it a night!

Till next time~ M and L
