We are always looking for something new to do in the parks, and you know we love a good Scavenger hunt!
I was excited to see Smellephants on Parade was ready for guests when I visited Magic Kingdom.Smellephants on Parade is a new attraction that debuted this past Spring in Storybook Circus. It is sponsored by Scentsy! Here's how to play.
Make your way to the ticket booth in Story Book Circus. Here you will meet a cast member that will give you a map and a sheet of stickers.
The map already has the locations where you will find the scented elephants. Even though the locations were circled on the map, we still found it somewhat of a challenge to find the elephants.
The stickers are of eight different "theme park foods": Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Pink Lemonade, Snow Cone, Churro, Bubble Gum, Caramel Apple, and Cord Dog. I found it ironic that Bubble Gum was one of the stickers since that is the one item you can not buy at the Disney parks. Also, I kept wanting these stickers to be scratch and sniff, but they were not!
Okay, now we had all the necessary tools to become the "Whiff-sistants".
Some of them are quite obvious by the way the elephant is decorated. For instance, we knew right away this one was going to smell like popcorn.
There were some elephants whose scent was stronger than others. Some we could barely smell.
There were eight elephants in all, but I don't want to give too many more details because I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone.
I think Smellephants on parade is a great little addition to Storybook Circus. It's something families can do at their own pace since there is not a line. In fact, if there are multiple children in your family, perhaps break into teams and make it a game as to who can finish the hunt first. Don't forget to claim your sticker at the end!
At the time of this posting, the hours of operation for Smellephants on parade are listed as 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, so keep in mind that it closes much earlier than the park.
