Good Morning! We thought we would share with you our race day outfits today. The first race that we will be participating in will be the half marathon. We kind of went for a "numbers" theme here.
We actually designed this three different times before we settled on this simple design. And of course the top is blue since it is "Donald's" race. We will both be wearing the same top and skirt combo. The skirt is from runningskirts.com and we love the compression shorts underneath and the many pockets!
For the second race, the full marathon we wanted to do a "Mickey" theme. Well, that all changed a bit when I went to order the red and white Polk a dot running skirts. I ordered these skirts online and I thought they were red and white but apparently the color is off a bit on my i-pad.
I was a bit surprised ( and to be honest a bit disappointed) when I opened the mail and saw they were pink and not red. So this little mix up on my part turned our Mickey themed race day outfits into a Minnie themed outfits.
I'm unsure of what the weather will be on race day so I thought I would play it safe and bring a throw away just in case.
This is just an el cheapo sweatshirt. I cut the neck line and made it wider so I could easily get it off over my head. Then I put a Mickey head on it.
And since we are doing the Goofy challenge we couldn't not have a "Goofy" inspired shirt!
So if you are in Disney this weekend and you happen to see two gals in these outfits, please stop and say "HI".
Oh, speaking of Disney, had you heard of the measles outbreak at Disneyland? I heard that on the news this morning. They said that a visitor from outside the United Stated brought it in. They have confirmed that Disney World on the East coast is not effected though!
Happy Running! M &L
Love your outfits! And I LOVE the skirts! Runningskirts.com are my favorite! Sorry you didn't know the skirt was pink instead of red.
ReplyDeleteI even went back to the website to see if I missed that it said "pink" but it only said "multi color dot". So I guess it's an honest mistake!
