Our mom will be running all 3 of the princess weekend races with us at Disney next month, so not only do I have to think up and put outfits together for Lacey and I, but I also want our mom to coordinate with us. A lot of our costume pieces this year will be recycled pieces from years past. Here is just a peek of what I already put together this weekend.
You will for sure be seeing us in these "Minnie" inspired outfits on the course. For which race, I'm not quite sure yet. We still have to coordinate some other outfits with each other.
When you run with a group, do you try to coordinate race outfits? -M
Your running costumes always look so great! I haven't run a Disney race with a group yet but if I talk family into doing the Wine and Dine 5k with me, I might try to come up with coordinated outfits.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! The ruffles on the arms of the Belle one are precious. I just imagined little birds helping you with these like that scene in Cinderella;). I so wish I was doing Princess again! It's my first year to miss in 5 years:(. Next year, though!
ReplyDeleteI would totally do a race if I had the chance to wear a costume!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I might enlist your help for costumes for my next Disney race!
ReplyDeleteI would be glad to offer help Stacie :)
DeleteI love the yellow one. I have actually never run in a costume, but I really need to change that, as it looks much more fun.
ReplyDeleteAwesome costumes. i love running costumes and if you're running with other, coordinating can be lots of fun. I have a bunch of Disney group ideas banked up for future races, haha. It's just a matter of picking the one to do when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteYour costumes are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteToo much pressure! The only race I've ever worn anything close to a costume was a Christmas 5k in December. I wore a sparkly skirt and a Christmas running top...Santa hat....LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat totally counts as a costume!
DeleteBELLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're doing that for me, aren't you? :)
ReplyDeleteI knew you would like the Belle one Rebecca Jo!
DeleteI've never run a race where people made costumes -- well most people, anyway haha. There's always "that" person who does something crazy even at standard races. If I ever run a Disney race I'm definitely going to be Minnie Mouse though -- adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love all your costumes. I have never run in a costume, mainly because I just feel awkward, like I can't pull it off, but you ladies always look so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I've seen people in WAY poofier costumes than yours! I think it's super cute!
ReplyDeleteCute costumes! We did coordinated costumes for the Tower of Terror 10 miler - we all did Alice in Wonderland characters. Now I'm trying to decide what to do for the Disneyland Half!
ReplyDeleteBoth costumes are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou always do have some of the best outfits for Disney races!!!! You know if you ever thought about adding to your blog a Disney race outfit purchase section, I bet you could make good money on it, you are talented in it, that's for sure!!!!
ReplyDeleteso cute! I love your costumes and your creativity! how nice your Mother is going to run with you, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the Belle costume! I bet it could be hard to run in.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah that tutu will make your arms chafe if you are doing intervals. Don't ask me how I know. Lol
ReplyDeleteThe Belle costume is beautiful. Yellow is a favorite. As long as your arms don't hit the poof, I think it will be fine. I've worn a sparkle skirt a few times, but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteCute costumes! Love the ruffles on Belle's sleeves! :)
ReplyDeleteCoordinating outfits with friends is the best! Those are both so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the Belle choice! She's my favorite Disney Princess. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never run a race in a costume, but yours are so cute and fun! I must make the run so much more fun.
ReplyDeleteI love the Minnie outfit! I've never run in a costume before but after seeing this post, it looks like it would be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThe Belle outfit is adorable! I love the white trim on the tank top.
ReplyDeletelove the costumes!! I usually do try to match the people I am running with but this year I am doing it a bit different as I let my little sisters pick my costumes! I will be coronation Anna from Frozen for the 5k, cinderella (but the new one from the new live action movie) for the 10k and ariel for the half
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I've never run in costume!
ReplyDeleteI love that you take the time to make these great matching costumes, you have a talent I do not! I love the response you get when you put a tutu on- people cannot help but smile!
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! I've done a couple of the 5ks with a friend and we coordinate outfits. I also did R2D2/C3PO with my husband, but aside from that, I normally just choose my outfit on my own. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these costumes and all the others you've done so far! You are so creative!! I'll be running my first runDisney event, doing the 5K for the Princess weekend. And I'll be going as Belle too, but not in her yellow dress. I'll be in her blue "Providential" dress instead.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of doing a 5k the morning of my bachelorette party and would absolutely want everyone to be coordinating in terms of their outfits. haha! Not sure everyone is go to agree to the 5k though, so might need to work on that first ;)
ReplyDeleteI think the costumes are looking adorable so far! I LOVE coordinating costumes. I feel very, very lucky that I found a man who doesn't mind dressing up. As long as it's simple and easy to run in, he's pretty open to just about anything. LOL. Looking forward to seeing your finished products! :)
