How was your weekend? I have to apologize for not responding to many of the comments from the Friday Five, and if I missed reading your post this week, I'm sorry. I had an extremely busy Friday and a mini phone disaster. I had to go to a press event for a new art gallery in the morning and while I was there I dropped my Blackberry and cracked the entire screen. After the press event I had to hurry to my Chiropractor appointment and then made my way to Verizon in which they could not help me because my husbands name was on the account, not mine. Scott has called Verizon several times to put me as an authorized user but I guess they still didn't fix that. So anyway, after a wasted trip to Verizon I realized that I had left my sunglasses at the art gallery so I had to travel back out there ( out of the way) again. I was very irritated at this point. All of these things were my own fault though.
I did have a pleasant surprise when I arrived home though. I was chosen to receive the Victoria's Secret Vox Box courtesy of Influenster and it arrived on Friday.
I had been thinking about getting a good sports bra for marathon training so I picked one up last Tuesday when Scott took me shopping for my birthday. Later that afternoon, I check my email and found that I was going to be getting a Victoria's Secret sports bra as well. Score!
The main thing I look for in a sports bra is that it has closures either on the front or the back. I just can't seem to do the bras that are all one piece ( you know what I mean right?). I've tried a couple of those on and I feel as if I am going to dislocate my should getting them on and off. I can only imagine how much more difficult it would be when I'm all sweaty and trying to get it off.
With that being said, I am going to feature two of the best sports bras I have found.
The first one being this black sports bra by Jockey.
This is made from super soft material.
It has soft molded cups.
It looks just like a regular running tank in the front.
It has the hook and eye closure in the back ( This is important to me)
It has padded shoulder straps.
Not only can you wear the straps the traditional way but you can also wear them criss crossed as well.
This style is not sized by bra size, it is just small, medium, or large.
* I purchased this bra on my own.
This next bra is the one I was given in the Victoria's Secret Vox box from Influenster. I was given the Incredible VSX. I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled it out of the Vox box and I saw that it did indeed have a hook and eye closure on the back of it! I wasn't crazy about the color at first, but it's grown on me and now I actually like it!
This is made out of that ultra breathable fabric and body wick technology.
It has the hook and eye closure that I love!
Even though it has the closures, it is still stretchable and form fitting to your body.
This bra has a concealed underwire for cushioning and support. You might think that sounds uncomfortable but it really is not.
It also has padded straps and it is totally seamless so it wont irritate or chafe.
I'm really loving the racer back style of the back of it.
This style that I got was for maximum support and high impact.
The maximum support and high impact Victoria's Secret sports bras in this collection are sized by actual bra sizes. The medium support or mid impact ones are sized, small, medium, large.
In all honesty, if I would have received this bra first, I probably wouldn't have purchased the Jockey one. I did get a 25% off coupon in my Vox Box, so I will more than likely use this to get this same bra in a different color.
*I received the items in the Victoria's Secret Vox box free of charge to me from Influenster for testing purposes.
I have worn both of these bras on a run ( under another tank) and they performed great. Straps stayed put, no chafing, and the rest of it stayed put. I've never worn just a sports bra by itself out for a run before. Do you think it would be okay to just wear these out by themselves?
So back to my phone problem. I currently have the new Blackberry ( came out last summer) and I LOVE IT. I do most of my blogging from my phone and it makes it so simple. I love the Blackberry format and the keyboard is a must. I don't do well with the touch screen keys. When I finally did get in contact with someone from Verizon, she informed me that Blackberry had got sold and I guess they wont be making any more phones ( I don't know). I can still get the same Blackberry but she encouraged me not to. The only thing I wish I could do on this phone is more photo editing. I want to be able to take a picture and then add text on top of that picture. Can any of you do that with your phone? The only other phone I am considering is the LG Enact. Do any of you have that phone? I haven't seen it in person though, so I will have to check it out and see how large it is. It must be able to fit inside the pocket of my running skirt...haha.
Ok, guess this post was long enough! We will be back for Tasty Tuesday tomorrow if you'd like to link a post up. We will also announce the Bondi band winner on tomorrows post. Can you answer any of the questions I posted today? ~M
