Workout gear for those who love their pets!

For the past several years I have been a supporter of the Canine Cancer Foundation. I know most people don't even know that's a real thing, but it is.  We have been fortunate that none of our dogs have had to suffer from cancer (knock on wood), but we also know that retrievers (both Labradors and Goldens) are dogs that have the highest risk of cancer. We've had friends and family who have lost their retrievers WAY TO EARLY because of this awful disease.

For this reason, I try to purchase whatever fundraiser the foundation is selling. This past season they were selling teach shirts from Brooks Running!  I was excited to see that they were now selling more than just cotton t-shirts.  They had several different designs and phrases and you could choose which color shirt you wanted too.   I order some for myself and then a few for gifts.

I thought this shirt would be perfect for running on the trail this summer because it had a great message on the back.  If you can't see it, it says  "1 in 3 dogs will get cancer in their lifetime, Together WE ARE THE CURE".  The front has a paw print that has "1 in 3" on it and then says National Canine Cancer Foundation on it.

Of course I had to order my sister a tech shirt too so we could wear them running together.

This one says #Pinkpawlove  (cus that's their hashtag) and then www.wearethecure.org because We Are The Cure is their tag line.

I also ordered these two long sleeve shirts as gifts but the sizing was wrong so I just ended up keeping them for myself. In fact, I am currently wearing the black shirt as I type this post.

The canine cancer foundation also sells moisture wicking visors and tanks, sweatshirts, hoodies, and even jewelry and other gifts.

I wish this  "I run 4" shirt would have been available when I made my order. I would have got this one too!

If you would like to purchase items to help support the canine cancer foundation you can visit their store HERE.  These shirts are great quality but if you do order, keep in mind that they are fitted and in my opinion they run small.

*This is not a sponsored post. I truly love my dog and want to help find a cure for canine cancer. I think it's great that we can help support this cause and get some great running gear and I just wanted to share!    -M

We will be linking up with the gals from TOTR.

  1. One of our dogs had cancer so when I noticed a lump on the dog I have now, I was worried. Fortunately, it turned out to be nothing. So relieved!

    1. Ours has lumps (which is common in labs). We get them checked but the vet doesn't seem to think it's anything. I hope she is right!

  2. What a great cause. My Reina had cancer. It came on quick and she passed before we even realized what was going on :-((( We miss her dearly.
    Thanks for working with them!

  4. Our golden died due to old age, but our beagle mix ended up having breast cancer. It comes on so quick, and they can't tell us when they're starting to get sick :(

  7. Cute clothing!
I definitely cannot let my sister see this, she's already a little too "dog mom crazy" okay, that's what we call her. LOL
I miss my dog who passed over 3 years ago. When my sister had to move to a new place for awhile that didn't allow dogs, I took her little cocker spaniel for 6 months and oh I loved that dog. When I had to give him back, I missed him almost made me want to go get a new dog after, but thankfully after a few weeks the idea past. I say I won't get another one again, but I guess never say never, right!

  8. I LOVE THIS. My Rottie passed away at age 7 from lymphosarcoma, literally within hours after having received the diagnosis. It was the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me. I had no idea there was a charity. Thank you for this post!

  9. These shirts are absolutely adorable! What a great way to help a great cause and to help spread awareness, especially since I doubt that most people don't think about pets getting cancer.

  12. 1 in 3 dogs will get cancer? That's a really sad statistic. Great t-shirts for a great cause!

  13. I've lost three cats to cancer, and it is very sad. Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) is pretty common in greyhounds, and I always worry that my boy will get it. I'm glad there's an organization working toward a cure. Their stuff is really cute!

  14. Our fur baby pug got a tumor on her spinal cord in 2012 and we still are not over it. We remember her everyday!

  15. 2 pups I know have succumb to cancer recently, but I had no idea the statistic was 1 in 3. It has been 2 years since our pup came home with us from the local animal shelter, we planned to celebrate anyways, but I'll hug that kid extra tight tonight. :)
