Primo Piatto at Disney's Riviera Resort

Primo Piatto is the quick service restaurant at Disney's Riviera Resort.  It is located on the lower level. You can access this from the back court yard and there are two entrances.  Let's take a look!

This would be considered the main entrance. It will take you right to wear you would order your food.

This is a quick service restaurant with your typical sandwiches and salads, but we found the menu here to be a bit "elevated", like "Croque Monsieur" and "Tuna Nicoise Salad".

This quick service is a little different than some of the "food court" type one. Here you order your meal and pay first, then walk over to another counter to pick it up when it is ready. Also near the cash register area is a cooler with grab n go items like salads, cold sandwiches, fruit, and dessert items.

This is the counter where you wait for your order.

This restaurant had a Coke freestyle machine! We know that's a perk for some guests!

The dining room is nice and roomy. At the end of the dinning room is where you will find the second entrance. This will also be the way that you exit.

Chicken sandwich with Herb crusted fries

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with tomato spread, spinach and artichoke spread, and mozzarella on toasted focaccia bread.  The grilled chicken was tender, the flavor on the spreads was enough but not over whelming, and the bread was toasted just right, not to crusty.

The sandwich also came with a side of parmesan Herb fries which were also good. A nice "elevated" touch to the meal. This meal was $13.19.

You can also order fries just as a side dish.

Gelato at Disney World

After the meal, we went back to the coolers at the front of the restaurant and grabbed some Gelato. I had the Cherry Vanilla Swirl and lacey had the Toasted honey Almond.  There is a variety of Gelato flavors here and I see the price is now $6.29 per cup.  There is also a Gelato cart out near the pool area. Sometimes it is open and sometimes it is not. They do have different flavors at the cart but it also cost more.

Primo Piatto serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snacks. Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.  You can check out the full menu HERE.

Till next time ! ~ M & L
