It was much improved in a few weeks and I never ended up going to the doctor. Most radiating pain in the arm comes from dysfunction in the cervical spine, (sometimes as subtle as a teacup sitting slightly off-kilter in the saucer). Many times, there is no direct injury, just many "straw that breaks the camel's back" moments; posture, running technique, sleeping position, work habits, etc can all factor in. Anti-inflammatory medicine (Motrin/Advil) can help until you can get to a chiropractor. (Even though I'm a PT, I would suggest this route in your case.) Fingers crossed and keep us posted!!:DISTherapyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07874755796793747653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4930457134828005115.post-24621934320049565872013-12-11T09:13:22.237-05:002013-12-11T09:13:22.237-05:00Such a good looking dog! It started in the right and moved to both, now it's just in the left. I think the pain is probably different in that I only feel pain if I move it certain ways. Heat always makes it feel better. I'd try a massage, maybe a warm Epsom salt bath...but if the pain is acute it will probably go away fairly soon. If not I'd maybe get it checked out. Hope you feel better! I guess I will continue to slather that on. Insituations like this it's hard to determine if a doctor is needed or just a professional massage will do the trick.
