Banana Cabana at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

On of our our non-park days, we were meeting up with one of our friends.  We decided to take her for a ride on the Skyliner and visit some of the near by resorts.  One of our stops was Caribbean Beach.  We hadn't been to Caribbean Beach in forever so it was nice to walk around.  We decided we would stay here for lunch. Our first choice was going to be Sebastian's Bisto  since we had heard how good the food was there but at the time, Sebastian's was one of the restaurants that had not "re-opened" yet.

However, right next door was Banana Cabana so we thought we would give that a try.

This is such a cute and festive little place. It is all outdoor seating but it is covered.

It overlooks a busy walkway and swimming pool, but we never felt like the restaurant was too loud  or the people outside of the restaurant were intrusive.

For such a small place, they had a variety on the menu ( more than just your average pool bar menu).

This is considered a sit down restaurant but they did have a walk up pool bar on the side.

I  was super excited to see that they offered the Caribbean Pull Apart rolls with Guava butter and  onion jam.

They have this at Sebastian's and I  heard it was really good so I ordered it for us.

My sister and I both ordered the Sebastian's Salad with grilled shrimp, and our friend ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries.

We were all very pleased with our meal.

One thing I thought was odd was that when the server brought our appetizer and meal out, they were packaged in these containers (with lids)  instead of plates.  Instead of bringing them out on a tray, he brought them out in a tote bag.  Is this normal or a new protocol?

They have a very limited dessert menu here but we didn't mind that because we were going to walk over to the Riviera resort for a sweet treat.

Although I really wanted to try Sebastian's Bistro,  I was very pleased with Banana Cabana and would not hesitate to go back again.  Now I feel that I should book my next stay at Caribbean Beach so we can try all the restaurants here.

What restaurants at Caribbean Beach have you been too?  -M
