I've had similar experiences with customer service, in general. And yes - during marathon training season, pretty much my entire weekend would revolve around getting my long run in. I don't even remember, but I was sick. There is absolutely no way I could do a long run at 2PM, especially in the summer months in Florida. However, that's the great thing about running: you go when it works for you. Personally, getting my run done early and having it out of the way leads to me feeling more energized and productive, but that's not how it works for everyone. I sometimes have to get my long runs in at odd times too because of my work schedule or the kids' schedules. BUT if I miss a run, by 2pm, I throw in the towel and give myself a rest day. I run after work during the week, but prefer earlier runs on the weekends.
