What I thought of this month's Fab Fit Fun Box

I recently received my first Fab Fit Fun Box. I have been seeing so many advertisements on Instagram that I finally bit the bullet and signed up for one. I also got $10 off my first purchase which made my first box $39.00 which I thought was still a little pricey but I wanted to find out what all the hype was about.

They claim to have full size products that in total, retail between $285-$375 depending on what type of products you receive in your box. Once I signed up for a subscription

I had to fill out a few questions of what type of products I like including: makeup, fitness products, home decor, etc. I had seen a few previews of other people's boxes and knew there were certain things everyone would get in their box such as a beauty blender. I got my last one at TJ Max for $2.99. Apparently these are $20. I doubt this is going to work any differently than mine but we will see.

There was also a space to write any notes. I mentioned that I was a big coffee drinker and saw there was a coffee press in one of the boxes that would be nice to have.

But instead I received a tea kettle.  I have actually wanted to get a loose tea kettle, but it was something I would not have normally bought myself. I'm sure I'll be put to good use but I was hoping the coffee one.

They did a great job on the fitness side. I got a pair of bluetooth wireless earbuds. Though I have been loving my Aftershokz I am so afraid to pack them when I travel because of the way the are shaped. These ones will be easier to pack.

I got a new make up brush set which I am way overdue. Again, nothing I would buy myself because I already have them, but now that I got new ones I have a reason to finally toss my old ones.

A few more items I received where some body wash, Eye cream, and some lotion from Alchemist. I also got a Luna bar, and a dish towel and not pictured were some face masks and the beauty blender.

After I signed up for the box I did get a few emails to do some add on products but I thought I would just wait to see what I got instead. There is also an option to become a select member you can specifically pick products that come in your box. Yes that would be nice, but I think that half the fun is not knowing!

The next box is the winter box. The winter box will be $49.99. Not sure if it will be worth spending the money for that box or not since I will no longer have a discount code. I guess I will see how much use I get out of these products and then decide.

Have you ever tried Fab Fit Fun? What did you think? -L

  1. What a pretty tea kettle! Too bad you're a coffee drinker. :( Definitely seems a disconnect there.

I love the idea of subscription services, but not spending the $$. And I actually do love to shop -- I love the hunt! So no, Fabletics is the closest I come to subscription anything.

The wireless earbuds definitely make it worthwhile!

    1. Those wireless earbuds go for $40 so right there I got my money's worth. Box was $39.99

  2. I think your comment pretty much describes why I am not a subscription person - nice stuff, but nothing I would buy myself. The earbuds are a nice thing to have, though.

    1. Yes, they will always come in handy. You can never have too many.

  3. Looks fun but overall it seems like you could've gotten all of it at TJ Maxx. When you say beauty blender do you mean that egg shaped sponge thing?

  4. This seems similar to the PopSugar boxes that I get seasonally. Some months I am more excited than others about what I receive. It's always fun to get presents in the mail

  5. I'm kind of the last one out there who does not get a subscription box of any kind. I"m not sure I"d like someone else picking out stuff for me (that I probably don't really "need"), but I also know I'd probably get lazy about canceling the subscription and it would go on for several months LOL

    1. Well this is only quarterly so I have to remember to cancel before the next box comes out if I chose.

  6. I love the concept of subscription boxes, but I'm never sure if they're worth the money. If I got something like a teapot it would just be another thing that clutters up my kitchen that I don't use. :-)

    1. Haha. Well it is fairly small so won't take up too much room.

  7. I adore my Aftershokz too but I'm also always slightly scared of packing them when I travel also, haha. That teakettle is super pretty!

  8. Is it weird that I've kept the box the Aftershokz came in, and pack them that way? I did that for Alaska so they wouldn't bend or anything. I'll do the same for Princess so nothing gets messed up.

    1. No it's not. Very smart. I still have mine too. Haven't needed to pack them anywhere yet so they are in the soft case while I am not using them.

  9. I love your honest review of this box - I see so many influencers raving about each and every thing, when you know it's not always 100% a hit. Glad you got the earbuds for your travels - I didn't think about it, but I would have to be really careful packing my Aftershokz if I were to travel with them.

    1. I like Lesley's suggestion packing them in the box they came in. I will have to do that when I travel for a race with them.

  10. FabFitFun always has items worth more than the $49 price but not always super useful for me. My FFF box also had an awesome Vince Camuto tote bag. I usually keep a few things and give the rest away.

  11. I see those boxes everywhere. It seems like through the years, the things arent as extravagant as they were - maybe too many people are doing it now???
It's still nice, huh? but 50.00? That's just scary to not know what you're getting.
Love that teapot though - its beautiful

    1. Well I can't really compare from the others ones for never trying them. Sometimes I think once the boxes have been out for awhile they get better with everyone giving their opinion and such on things. Now you have me curious what was in their boxes years prior.

  12. Now this is a fun box! I don't think $50 is too much for everything you got. Sometimes it's nice to get stuff you wouldn't normally buy.

    1. Yea it is definitely useful stuff. Unlike some runner boxes that are a lot of protein packets or supplements you may not use.

  13. Hmm this is interesting. I am not much of a box girl and don't like accumulating a bunch of "stuff". I'd rather just buy what I know I need. With your discount code it doesn't sound so bad, but the next one being $50 and not knowing what you will get?????

    1. Yeah I know, that's what I am debating now. Do I keep it for one more box..hmmmm.

  14. I have always been interested in the box subscriptions, but thet are so expensive! My budget keeps me away mostly. I do think they have some neat stuff though!
