Weekly Wrap...April 30

Welcome to another edition of the Weekly Wrap.

This is going to be a quick wrap this week! Because I am not training for anything I've rearranged my run days. I've been trying to run Tuesday's and Thursday's and walk Baylee Mondays and Wednesdays. So far it's been working out pretty well. Even on the day's I'm not running, I look forward to getting out on the trail with Baylee (did you read my Runfessions?).
I saw these two lovelies on the path but as I ran towards them they scurried into the water.

Running was not the highlight of my week though this week. We had our neighborhood yard sales this weekend so we spent most of the week preparing for that. We hadn't participated in the sales the past few years so this year we had plenty to set out.  I was so pleased to see how much stuff actually went and the little bit that we had left got donated.  I've pretty much kept every CD I've ever owned since High School and I finally decided it was time to let them go. I can't even tell you the last time I listened to a CD (I don't even have a CD player except for in my car). I sold the CD's for 50 cents a piece and every person that bought one, bought more than just one. They were a big hit!

Now that I have less "junk" in my house, I've done a major Spring Cleaning. I feel so refreshed! If my house could talk, I'm sure it's giving a sigh of relief right about now!

I'm looking forward to redecorated a few rooms. I started in my bathroom this weekend. I have a palm tree shower curtain that I hang up in the Summer months and then a dark floral one for the winter months.
Not my photo but is the exact same curtain. Source

However, since our winter was pretty warm, I never ended up taking down the palm tree shower curtain. I'm now tired of it so I am putting up this Tres bombshell one that I had up a few years ago. I also got a chrome shower rod with crystals, gems on the end and crystal/gem shower hooks.  I am now on the hunt for new vanity accessories and some light pink rugs. In all honesty I've been looking for the pink rugs for over a month now.  Apparently pink bathroom rugs are no longer in style. I've looked at  Target, Wal-Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshall's, Burlington, Boscov's, Bon-Ton, JC Penny, TJ Maxx, Ross, and Kohls, and K-mart.  I've even looked at their online store too.

I am finding some extra time on my hands this week so I am going to continue to clean and shop for new house decor!   And that s a wrap! -M

When was the last time you listened to a CD?
Where else can I look for pink rugs?

We are linking up with Holly and Tricia for the weekly Wrap!

  1. I've got so many CDs! Since I've been home, I've been purging and the CDs are the next to go. I love digital music--sure keeps the clutter down!

    1. I can't believe how many people still bought the CD's!!! I figure this day in age it's so easy to hear any song we want without digging out a CD.

  2. I have never been much of a CD person, but my husband has an extensive record collection from many years ago (before me...like 30+ years ago). He's debated about getting rid of them, but thinks they are worth something (?)

  3. Recently I took all my cds - nearly 500 to pawn America. Along with a bunch of dvds. Crazy how many we had!

  4. I used to buy online from Home Decorators Collection. You might try there. My neighborhood has a twice yearly yard sale. I haven't participated in a while but it was always a great way to clean out junk! And, I'd be so sore for working so hard! Thanks for linking, Meranda!

  5. Congrats on a successful yard sale! I know my house could definitely use "spring/summer cleaning" to get rid of stuff i haven't used in years!

  6. Spring cleaning feels so good! I went though some stuff a few weeks ago and donated a bunch of clothes. A neighborhood yard sale is a great idea.

  7. We still listen to our Christmas CDs in December, but that's about it. Even my car lets me store CDs so I don't have to really play them! Your bathroom is going to be so cute - have you tried a general search on Amazon?

    1. I use to listen to Christmas cds too when I had my under the counter radio/cd player in my kitchen. I recently got a new one and it does not have a CD player but it does have an iPod dock.

  9. I think it's a great idea to have down time where you are not training for anything in particular. Super cute shower curtain!

  11. Thank you! I didn't realize the CDs would be such a hit!

  12. With all the work I've done on my parents home, I've had zero desire to work on my own home. And it really needs it!

  13. Lol. Now that I travel a lot to visit family when I can I thought it would be fun this winter to dig outvmy old cd's and listen to them on the way since its 10 hours commute back and forth. Literally hadn't touched them in years but its been fun breaking them out.
I should just hire you to come decorate my place. I'm the only interior designer I know who lives in an undecorated place right now lol lol

  14. I actually have quite a few CD's! I listen to them in my car. Mostly for nostalgia's sake. I will probably eventually get rid of everything but the NSYNC and Backstreet Boys ones...because those are my "oldies."

  15. I haven't listened to CDs in quite a while. I have on set, but it has a DVD with it too, and I keep it for the DVD. I haven't used the CD player in my car either because I can plug in my iPod.

  16. I have a CD book somewhere in this house collecting dust! I need to purge too.
I have pink bath mats in a guest bathroom... didn't know I was out of style either! lol! Did you try amazon?

  17. Sounds like a really productive week with the yard sale and the cleaning! I have to admit I can't remember the last time I listened to a CD either.

  18. We should get rid of our CDs too - they have all been ripped to MP3s or whatever, and they are just taking up space...along with our old record albums, which I guess are in vogue again. Who am I kidding, I can't even get my husband to part ways with our old cassette tapes - this stuff will be around forever in our house, LOL.

  19. My sister would LOVE those curtains!! She used to have the light pink floor mats... but that was a few years ago. I guess they are out of style now? :~(

I am so jealous on you getting rid of your CDs! I need to clear mine out too! The last time I listed to a CD was last year, my cd player still worked!! My son took the CD player and I have not seen it since.

  20. I'm so old school and use CDs in my music classroom all the time. :) But as far as in my house, I don't listen to them anymore! I donated a lot of them last year. I'm glad your yard sale was so successful!

  21. Our house does a garage sale twice a year and it is a great time to get rid of stuff! Yes, my hubby has tons of CD's- why I don't know, he does not listen to them.......I love re-doing parts of the house- keep searching! If a see pink rug you will be the first to know!

  22. I still have majority of my CDs from high school too, but I couldn't tell you the last time I listened to one! I've tried putting the good ones on iTunes on my laptop since we don't have a player.

  23. I gave most of my CDs away the last time we moved... like you, I didn't really listen to them any more. I found a pink bathroom rug in the kids section of Target a few years back ... it is shaped like a butterfly. I agree, impossible to find a pink bathroom rug!

  24. I started this major spring cleaning before we camped for a month. I'm crossing my fingers my house is still in order when I get back. My daughter stays there but she's pretty good about picking up. I do feel so much better when things are in order!
