Weekly Wrap...Feb 26

Welcome to another edition of the weekly wrap. This one is short and sweet because I really did nothing but take advantage of this beautiful "pre-spring" weather.  I certainly had no trouble getting my 3 runs in this week.

Sunday: Since I ran 13.1 miles on Saturday of that week, I only did a shake out run/walk of about a mile and a half around the park. I wasn't going to do anything at all but the weather was too great not too.

Monday: I have nothing recorded, so I am going to assume that I did not go to the gym.

                                                                     Tuesday: 3 Mile run

                                                                      Wednesday : Gym

Thursday: 6 Mile run in which I actually felt great

Friday:  Missed the gym because I had to run some errands.

Saturday: Another beautiful day so I did another 13.1 miles. This was my second 13.1 mile run for this training cycle so I think I'm good with my mileage. This run was 6 minutes faster than my run last week but I didn't run any hills so I'm not sure how beneficial it was.

This weekend was the Princess Half Marathon weekend at Disney. My sister and I usually attend this race weekend but we didn't this year. I'm excited for everyone who ran this weekend and I hope they had a fabulous time but to tell you the truth, I'm not sad that I'm not there. I actually would have been upset had I gone to Florida during a week/weekend when we had such fabulously warm weather here at home!

In all, I think this was a great way to wrap up the last week in February. ~M

And that's a wrap, lots of good weather and great running! Thanks to Holly and Tricia for hosting the weekly wrap!

    1. It was faster, but it was mostly a flat course, not any of the hills I did the week before.

  2. I don't think I'd be upset about being Florida no matter how great the weather is at home!

Great week--yep, I'd say you got your miles in.

    1. I do enjoy staying home but when I go to Florida it's nice to be there when the weather here isn't that great!

  3. Good job on the mileage!! We had crazy warm weather in Iowa...so it wasn't too terrible being here, though it did get cold Friday (but has slowly warmed up a bit since).

  4. Wow! Two 13.1 in one week! Great job. I was envious of all the princess posts today too! Someday maybe I'll get there.

  7. Great week and nice job on your 13.1 mile run! I always hate it a little bit when I am gone and the weather is nicer at home. It was cold and windy here all weekend and I was stuck in training for most of it so that made being in a building so much better. If the training had been last weekend I might have cried!

  8. Wow, 13.1 on Saturday? Look at your amazing training!! It's cold and snowy here again and I've been doing treadmill runs except for a 5k race on Saturday. Can't wait for spring!

  9. It was fun to look at pictures of Princess, but I wasn't sad either. The weather here wasn't warm, but I had a lot of fun here with my mom. No running either since we were so busy.

  10. Nice job on 13.1!!! Two weeks in a row. What great weather we had. I think FL had a heat advisory so there's another good reason to be glad you did not go!

    1. Hmm, I didn't even check what the weather was in Florida. All I knew was that I was completely happy with the weather here!

  14. I love running Disney, but for some reason never got into running Princess. There were a lot of fun pictures posted though. Congrats on another 13.1 run in your training cycle. It sounds like you are ready for your next half. We had the same beautiful weather this weekend. Thanks for linking, Meranda!

  15. The weekend was beautiful indeed.

I did Glass Slipper Challenge last year and it was fun, but it was also a one and done for me. I'm excited for everyone who was there, but I don't feel like I'm missing out. That being said, I do have a little FOMO after Gasparilla! That one I need to try to get in soon!

  17. What a great week of running. Nice job! I wasn't able to run as much in February due to moving and sickness and I missed it. I was happy to get out during that lovely heatwave last week. I loved that it felt like Spring/Summer!

  18. Nothing wrong with enjoying this Spring like weather! I actually hope it continues, we don't want to jump into Summer just yet but I'd sure be ok with staying with Spring for awhile!
