Run With Me

Now that summer is here I'm sure we are all excited to finally be outside in the warmer weather (especially after what felt like such a long winter)).  I believe that people as a whole are more active in the summer because of all the activities you can do when it's nice outside such as hiking, biking, and of course running.

I was recently talking to a friend about this and she said that summer was harder for her. After giving her
a puzzled look I asked why and she explained that yes she was active in the summer, but in addition to being outside, you also have graduation parties to attend, picnics, cookouts, campfires, etc, which always results in indulging food you may not normally have in other situations. I never really thought of it that way, but she definitely made a good point.

What are your plans for over the 4th of July weekend? I'm sure it involves some type of get together with food, family, and friends. Why not start by getting a good run in before you indulge in all the festivities later in the day with the All 4 Run 4 Mile Virtual Race. It's the latest Virtual Race that Gone For A Run has launched.
All 4 Run 4 mile race

It looks like a great Race Series with awesome swag!  Your race packet will include a women's tank or men's T-shirt, a  great medal, a real race bib, and a car magnet.  I've done a few of the other Gone For a Run virtual races and the swag really is great, just like what you would get during a "Real" race.

You'll have to complete your 4 miles between July 2 -5th.  I'm going to try again to get my "Bad Ass" runner friend to join me for this one since he is doing much better now.

If you want to join in the fun you must register before June 22 in order to get your packet in time!  you can register HERE.

So grab a few friends because you know running with a group is always more fun!

So who's joining me?   -L

We are linking up with TOTR!

  3. This sounds like fun!!! I've only done one virtual run to be honest...and the money went towards the wounded warrior project.

    1. It feels so rewarding to run when the money goes to a good cause. We've done a few of those too.

  5. Nice swag for the virtual run! I wish more races would have a tank top option in the summer. I have so many tech shirts from races (long and short sleeve), but no tank tops!

  9. The swag is great, and I love that tank. I've never done a virtual race or a 4-mile race. Might have to do this one!

    1. Yes, I think the tank would pair up nicely with a red running skirt, don't you?

  10. Looks so fun!
Some years in the past I have done 4th of July runs, but it's been a while. I do like to watch my niece and nephew run the small country town ones, so fun to watch kids compete:)
