A unique Invention for the Ordinary Water Bottle

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today's Tuesday on the Run theme is "Favorite Item". I'm not sure if this is exactly my Favorite item but I at least wanted to mention it because I think it is VERY cool!  After my sister posted about her hydration issue on long runs, I thought maybe this item would help her and other runners who may have the same issue.

Before I explain what this item is, let me tell you that I have been subscribing to Stridebox the last few months and I have enjoyed trying out all the goodies in my boxes that are focused towards runners.

This month I received something unique that I have never seen before. It's called the bottle band. Ever hear of it?

"Turn any water bottle into an easy-to-hold running water bottle." There are so many times during my run that by the end of my run I am carrying an empty water bottle. It would be so nice to get rid of it when you are finished. And now you can, with the bottle band.

You can put it on any disposable water bottle. This is so small and lightweight that when you are done with your bottle you can discard it and put the band around your wrist or  pocket.  The only problem is finding a trash can along your route so you can toss your bottle away!  ~L

Be sure to visit us next Monday as we Giveaway another item that is one of our favorites!

Have you ever heard of the bottle band? What is a product you really enjoy?

  1. Wow this is pretty neat! One of those products in which you say to yourself, "why didn't I think of that?" :)

  2. That's actually a really cool idea! Lately, I've been getting thirstier on my runs. I normally rung pretty close to my house so I can just loop back, but still - this would be great to have!

  3. I have thought of this idea, but have never seen one before. Where do you find them?

  4. This is genius! I would use one of these. I had an awesome water bottle with something you could put your hand through and a little zip pocket you could put stuff in... but I left it at a spin class a few years ago and never saw it again. I hope someone is enjoying it!

    1. Oh I hate that. When you find great products and you leave them somewhere by accident.

  5. LOL too funny we just had those custom designed with our MRTT logo on them. Our mamas seem to love them. #ToTR

  7. Wow, this is a great idea! It really is one of those things that seems so obvious when you see it but I would never have thought of it.

  8. Neat! It's not always easy to keep a full water bottle with me on runs.

    1. I know. I hate carrying a full bottle in the beginning of my runs bc it's so heavy.

  9. This is really cool! That would definitely come in handy on my long runs!

  10. That's a great idea! I don't normally run with a handheld because I hate having to carry extra things with me, but I like the idea of being able to toss the water bottle once it's empty!

    1. And once it's tossed you don't have to carry anything else. The band is so lightweight that fits perfect around your wrist.

  11. I actually carried a small water bottle on Sunday for MCM and was glad I did. The water stops were difficult to navigate with runners not moving once they got their cups.

    1. Yes they were very crowded. I don't normally stop at them but I was dying for water since I only had Nuun with me. I actually stepped off to the side when I took it so I wouldn't be in the way.

  12. OMG I completely love that! I hate reusable water bottles as I am a bit of a germaphobe so I usually just carry a water bottle without a carrier and that tends to be a pain. Would love to know where to get one of those. Off to Amazon I go!

  13. I've seen people running on some of the nearby trails with something similar.
I am such a hands free person when running, but for someone who wants to carry water and doesn't want to have to deal with chaffing or heavy things like camelpacks, then this may just be the way to go.

    1. Yes. There's nothing worse than carrying an empty water bottle while you are still running.

  17. Oh, that is awesome! So simple but so useful. I hate carrying around an empty water bottle on the run. Thanks for linking up with us today!

  18. That is GENIUS!!!
sometimes during races, I want to throw my bottle but its a lot of money - this, you wouldn't feel bad just tossing if need be

  19. That's a cool product and I wouldn't having one for those quick runs or when my kids want to go run and will not drink out of my bottle.

  21. I have never seen this before, I love the idea :) So many hydration are super expensive so this looks like an affordable option to try :) i have never carried a hand held before, but I think with the wrist strap it will be nice and you can relax your hand.
