Our Race Scrapbook

Do you document your races?  We don't really "Scrapbook" per say.  The results of traditional scrapbooking are beautiful, but too time consuming for us!  It didn't take long for our race pictures to start filling up our photo albums, so we came up with a better solution to incorporate many of our pics.  Each race gets its own 4X6 print and it slips right in to our album. Easy Peasy!

In no particular order, here are the races we've documented so far!

We are continuosly adding races to our album!

What do you do to document your races? Do you make a photo album?

  1. I love this idea. I have quite a few race photos framed and on the shelves above my desk. However, all the other race related stuff is in folders in a cabinet. Maybe this should be my New Year's resolution to organize and put a book together with all of it!

    1. I used the Microsoft Picture it publishing program which I Absolutely Love, but is now obsolete. I have it on my old computer. Santa brought be a new photoshop program for the new computer so i'm gonna have to teach myself to use that one now!

    1. These were a combination of mine and my sister's races. Some we ran individually and some we ran together, but we did run many!

  4. GREAT idea! I usually make a photobook through Shutterfly (but there are tons of sites you can go to) for each of my Disney races. I made one for my 1st year of running, but I don't document all my races the same way, so this might be a good start!

  5. I keep my medals at home and my bibs framed at work, but I only did a small scrapbook page for the Princess 2012. It was my first half and I had one page left in my scrapbook.

    2. I don't really know. Disney races are so easy to scrapbook because of all the fun stuff going on in the parks and on the course

    1. I use to do the same thing but I found my self waiting until I had enough pictures to properly fill the book. This way I can just print out each picture after the race. ( but sometimes I find my self slacking on that too!)

  7. I think those scrapbooks you are creating are awesome.. Seriously. I usually just save bib and write my time on it. However, that's pretty low-fi, and kinda of lame. I need to look into something like this..

  8. Thanks Jefferson! We will be featuring another great way to save your bibs and document you race times tomorrow. You might be interested in that!

  10. Those look great! That's a good idea as a way to document them too. I love scrapbooks, but they do take too much time. It took me years to finish my wedding one. I don't think I'm even up for making any more! LOL

    1. I know exactly what you mean Elizabeth. I worked on my wedding one forever and then just gave up and did a Shutterfly album!

  12. Great idea! They would be fun to look through later. I use my blog to record my race experiences. It's a good place to keep track of races since I can search my blog when I need info on a race I've run.
