Are You Ready For A Wicked Good Time?

As many of you are preparing for the Marine Corp Marathon this weekend ( which I 'm sure will be wicked fun), Lacey and I will be running the Wicked 10K in Virginia Beach!  We did the Wicked races last year and had so much fun!  Even the labbies had a blast! Unfortunately our weekend got cut a little short due to Hurricane Sandy.  Let's hope that doesn't happen again!

If you didn't get to read last year's race weekend recap, you can read here if you want to. ( If nothing else, you'll want to check out these cute Labradors running on the beach)

So, I've already completed my costume for the race. I wanted to be comfortable on my run, but still look sort of festive!  This is what I came up with:

It's a ghost! What do ya think?

Last year Baylee was a clown.

This is what she will be wearing this year.
I know what you are thinking, I've really slacked off on her costume this year. I know!  Certain people have already expressed their unhappiness about my lack of creativity in this year's costume. (And apparently Baylee doesn't look too thrilled about it either).

I have no idea what Lacey and Belle are going to be.  Maybe they will surprise us!

I can't believe how people went all out in costume for this race last year. Some of those couldn't have been comfortable to run in, but somehow they managed.  It's so fun to see people dress up. And yes, they even have a costume contest ( and the rule is you have to run the entire race with the costume on) You can see a picture of some of my favorites from last year in the recap above.

Will you be running a Halloween themed race this weekend?
Do you dress your dog up for Halloween?

  1. No Halloween themed race for me but Christine and I loved the Wicked 10k last year and hope to be back in 2014. Have fun, it's a great race! Your ghost costume is really cute and very creative! By the way, Baylee looks none too thrilled to be sporting any kind of costume!

  2. The TOT counts as a Halloween race, right? lol Other than that, I won't be doing another one this month, but the Wicked 10K sounds like a blast! I love your costume, and Baylee's costume too! Have fun!

  3. That looks like so much fun! I did a Halloween 5k last year and loved seeing all the different costumes. This year is a no go because I've been concerned about getting back into shape and staying healthy.
