What should you look for in "cool weather" running clothes?

Have you started getting your "cool weather" running clothes out yet?   I'm logging more miles this fall than I did last fall, so my running clothes are quite different this year.  My longest run last year at this time was only a little over 3 miles, so I would dress for what the temperature was outside, not for what my body temperature would be mid run! I have learned now not to run in fleece!!!! ( no matter how cold it is outside) #thingsmysistershouldhavetoldme.

I've had some luck finding some cute summer running gear at Old Navy earlier this spring so thought I would hop on their website to see what was new.  I was happy to see that they were offering 25% off purchases AND free shipping, but the offer ended at midnight!

I promptly selected the items I wanted and surprisingly my sizes were available! I decided on the fun purple color for fall. I ended up getting shorts, a tank, and a long sleeved zip up tech shirt all under $30! Plus my Sweatyband came in the mail the following day!  Pair these with my compression capris I bought earlier this summer and I think I'm set for my first fall run!

    1. That's a good thing Lauren! I haven't had to bring out the pants yet, but I know it's coming!

  2. I usually don't break out the cool weather stuff until it hits the low forties, but I like to run cool. Thumb holes are a must for on long sleeve shirts, I don't know that they are necessary but they make me happy.

  3. Great advice! Those sweaty bands look awesome, I'll have to check them out. I agree with the Christy above, I love thumb holes in the fall/winter!
